Know The Signs Of A Beauty Product Allergy

Mild: Redness of skin, itching, swelling or tightness of skin, hives, bumps on the skin that appear suddenly and then disappear over 12-24 hours.

Severe: Difficulty breathing or swallowing; hoarse voice; wheezing; throbbing headache; dizziness and loss of consciousness. These symptoms may be signs of a severe allergic reaction and can sometimes be life threatening.

Always Patch Test!

Different people have different sensitivities to different products. That’s why it is important to do a patch test before applying any new beauty products to your skin. A patch test is a simple process of applying a small amount of the product in question onto the skin and observing for any signs of irritation. If you notice any redness or itching, you can discard the product and avoid any further application.

The only downside is that some people may not be able to tell if they are allergic until after they have already applied the product all over their face. But it’s better than risking an allergic reaction later on and not knowing why or what caused it!
