The Lookfantastic #LFBeautyBox for June was a massive hit, so I was intrigued to see if they could top the contents with their July box. If you’re new to the Lookfantastic beauty box, they release a new box every month but there’s no subscription involved like other beauty boxes.. you simply purchases boxes as and when you wish to, so you could choose to wait until the spoiler posts circulate on the blogs to make sure you like the products within the box each month. The Lookfantastic #LFBeautyBox costs £15 per box…
First up is a 30ml sample of the MONU Firming Fiji Facial Treatment (worth £7.80), which is a soothing facial oil which was formulated to smooth and comfort the skin whilst preventing dehydration. It contains apricot seed, hazel seed and rosewood oils and has quite a strong herbal scent which isn’t to my taste but you can’t beat a lovely facial oil when your skin is feeling a little parched.
The next item in the Lookfantastic July #LFBeautyBox is a 10ml sample of the Trilogy Everything Balm (worth £2.15), which is a multi-tasking balm that can be used on the lips, nails, heels, knees or any other dry areas. It contains marula oil, rosehip oil, jojoba, olive, avocado, honey and vitamin E to nourish and soothe the skin, and it has a subtle herbal scent. Balms like these are always useful, and this little pot will be going into my handbag as it’s so compact.
Next up we have a 50ml tube of the Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash (worth £6.40) which is described as a luxurious, wash-off face cleanser which gently removes makeup and impurities to prevent spots and skin congestion. The wash contains balancing grapefruit and petit grain, with soothing frankincense essential oils and calming spruce knot extract. I have tried this face wash previously, as I got it free in a magazine and to be completely honest, I found it to be quite drying for my skin so I’ll pass this on to someone without dry skin, as it would be a shame to waste it.
Then we have a mini 7ml sample of the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil (worth £1.96) which is a product I already own and love. It’s the most stunningly scented oil which can be used on the face, body and hair. It contains an impressive 30% of precious plant oils including borage, sweet almond, hazelnut, St John’s Wort, camellia and macadamia and it does an amazing job at softening and smoothing the skin, and the scent lingers for quite a long time too. I really like using the oil to tame any flyaways as it’s quite light, and it adds so much shine to my hair.
Next up is a 50ml tube of the Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo (worth £2.79), which is from a brand I’ve never come across before. This is a deed cleansing and rejuvenating shampoo which detoxifies the scalp and should be used once a month. This shampoo is the item I’m most excited about from the box as I’ve been on the hunt for a decent clarifying shampoo, so fingers crossed this will be my new favourite.
Lastly we have a tiny Lord & Berry Ultimate Lip Liner in Nude (worth £2), which is a chocolate brown sort of shade which isn’t something I’d wear personally, but I can vouch for the Lord & Berry Lip Liners as they’re incredibly creamy and comfortable on the lips, and they last for such a long time too but I own Bare and Vintage Rose which are more suited to my pale skintone.. this shade would be better suited for medium to dark skintones as a nude liner.
So they are all of the items in the Lookfantastic July #LFBeautyBox.. collectively, the products are worth £23.10 which isn’t the best value we’ve seen compared to previous boxes, but if you like skincare, I think you’d like this box. I would love to see Lookfantastic introduce more makeup into their boxes, and perhaps not include Balance Me nearly every month as it does get a little repetitive.
