September marks the first birthday of the Lookfantastic #LFBeautyBox, so they’ve created a special box to mark the occasion – and what a box it is! The Lookfantastic Beauty Box is only £15, and their box is unique to other beauty boxes as there are no subscription contracts involved; you simply buy the boxes as and when you want them, which is such a good idea as you can wait to see what treats are inside before parting with your money, so you know what you’re getting. If you like the element of surprise with your beauty box, you can order the box as soon as it launches on the 1st of the month so you still have a surprise…

The first item in the box is a 30ml bottle of the Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash (worth £3.50) which is a 2 in 1 rinse-off cleanser and exfoliator for all skin types. It is suitable for all skin types and effectively removes dirt and makeup, whilst gently exfoliating the skin. I’m not a fan of foaming facial skincare products as they’re quite drying, but I’m definitely going to give this one a try as it contains skin softening ingredients which I hope would minimise any dryness. This is a nice and generous size that I imagine would give a fair few applications.

Next up is a 25ml tube of the Codage Paris Scrubbing Cream (worth £18 – wow) which is a rich and soothing emulsion made from fine certified organic rice particles which enables optimal facial exfoliation. The cream is suitable for all skin types – even sensitive skin, and promises to eliminate impurities and dead skin cells while stimulating elasticity and cellular renewal. I can’t believe how pricey this product is.. it sounds amazing though, and ideal for my dry skin.

Then we have a 30ml tube of the MONU Tanworx Tan Maintainer (worth £2.10) which is described as being a luxurious, lightweight, non greasy moisturiser which is designed to prolong the life of your tan. I don’t use any fake tanning products whatsoever so I won’t use this personally, but I’ll pass it onto someone who will..

We then have an haircare duo from Sebastian; a 50ml bottle of both the Sebastian Penetraitt Shampoo and Conditioner (worth £2.80 each). The shampoo is designed to provide essential cleansing and guarding the hair from stress whilst the conditioner removes any signs of damage for super strong, silky and soft hair. They’re both generous sizes so again, I think you’d manage to get a few uses from them to be able to gauge whether you like them or not. I’ve never tried anything from Sebastian before, but the reviews on the Lookfantastic website are all very positive.

There are two products from Caudalie in the Lookfantastic September #LFBeautyBox, the first is a 10ml tube of the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturisizing Sorbet (worth £5.75). Caudalie features in the Lookfantastic boxes quite frequently which doesn’t bother me, but I know it does bother some to have repeated brands. I have tried this product before, and it’s really lovely and soothing, and leaves my skin feeling so smooth and hydrated.

The second Caudalie product is a 10ml tube of the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum (worth £9.66). This serum continuously captures and diffuses water, deep within the skin to restore its moisture balance and leaving it feeling soft and fresh. Clinical results showed that hydration leaves were increased by 127% and skin sensitivity decreased by 61%. I really like that Lookfantastic have included a serum and moisturiser from the same range in the box, so you can use them together for maximum benefits.

The last product in the box is a generous 30ml size of the Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme (worth £7.95), although there are four possible products which will vary from box to box. This is an intensive leave in cream which nourishes and repairs the hair, whilst providing thermal protection upto 220c to prevent further breakage. It also protects against split ends and humidity for fuzz free, silky locks. This sounds like an incredible conditioner, and is my favourite item from the box by far.

Overall, the Lookfantastic September #LFBeautyBox is fantastic! I think they definitely delivered on a special box for their birthday month, with the products totaling a value of £52.56. I’ve seen a couple of grumbles about the box not being good enough for a birthday box, but I have to disagree – the products are all very generous in size, and the box is literally crammed full. There aren’t any makeup products in the box which is a shame, but I really don’t have any complaints as it’s an amazing box for £15!
