It is the holiday season, and I’m sure many of you will be wearing red for your holiday parties! The number one email I get from all of you is “I’m wearing a red dress, what makeup do I wear?! HELP!!!” So, here is a video showing what I do with my red outfits as well as a tutorial of a glamorous neutral look that is perfect for the Holidays!
Wear neutral shades, brown, silver, gold and black or anything that falls into the neutral category.
Stay away from bright shades.
Make either the eyes or the lips the focal point.
If you go with a red lip keep the eyes almost bare with a winged or thick liner.

Hi Makeup Geeks! Today I am going to share with you 3 different and unique looks using the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I love this palette, it might be my favorite of them so far. 🙂 I know a lot of you have this palette and hopefully this will give you some go-to looks you can incorporate into your arsenal of ideas.
The first is a slightly smokey look that is ideal for a night out with that special someone. The lighter lid will make your eyes look larger and more open. For a more day appropriate look switch your lip color to a soft nude/pink, or transform it into a night time look by adding a brighter gloss.
I know there’s many days when you’re rushing out the door for work, but still want to look polished and have at least a little makeup on. Winged liner has been trendy for a few years now, so I wanted to give you a trick for doing it in 1 minute. That’s right, just one minute! Nobody wants to skip their trip to Starbucks to do a 10 minute makeup look when you can do it quicker AND have your coffee 😉
Black or Brown Gel Liner – Makeup Geek Gel Liner in “Immortal” or “Mobster” (Makeup Geek Store)
Bent Eyeliner Brush (Makeup Geek Store)
Simply place the scotch tape along the outer part of your eye- use your lower lash line as a guideline. Take your bent liner brush or any super small makeup brush and apply the eyeliner along the tape, connecting it to your upper lash line. You want to fill it in to form a triangle shape- this is what gives the illusion of winged liner.
If you have an extra minute, you can turn your winged liner into a softly smudged cat eye that works great for daytime. All you need are 2 more products:
Dark Brown Eyeshadow – Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in “Bada Bing” (Makeup Geek Store)
Pencil Smudge or Eye Smudging Brush (Makeup Geek Store)
Take a pencil brush and smudge a dark brown eyeshadow (or any color for that matter) on top of your gel liner. Start to smudge it upwards to smoke out the liner, staying close to your lash line as well as the tape you placed on earlier. All you’re doing is turning the winged liner into a smudged out cat eye shape by “smoking out” the eyeshadow.
I hope this helps you all in your makeup looks when you’re in a hurry! Makeup doesn’t have to take a long time- it’s all about the technique and tools.

Hi Makeup Geeks! Today I have a very easy and simple video for you all. This is something great to do when you are in a rush but still want to look polished and put together. It’s very simple and takes hardly anytime at all and you only need a couple of products to still look amazing! 🙂
Maybelline Color Tattoo – Rich Mohogany – (Amazon) (eBay)
See, a perfect smokey eye in no time at all! You can switch up the colors of the cream shadow you use and make this a different look anytime. And by just adding a crease color and a highlight shade, you can transition this look from office/day to a night out.
Have a great week, muggies! Much love, Marlena

Hello Makeup Geeks! I have a fun date night video for you all today. Cocoa Bear and I are going on a date tonight and I wanted to share the look that I will be wearing. This is a very soft grey smokey eye that is different in that it’s not full on black and the smokey part is at the end of the eye so it’s not over-the-top dramatic. I paired this with a brighter lip and elegant hair and makeup that I am going to share with you for a complete and great date night look. Perfect for impressing that someone special. 😉
So let’s get this started with the Makeup!
