Liz Earle Brighten & Boost Superskin Facial Collection

Two great things to kick off a bank holiday Monday: a new and limited edition Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, and a wonderful QVC exclusive skincare offer. If you are looking to top up your Liz Earle stash, or finally try some of the brands cult products, then you need to make the most of the Liz Earle Brighten & Boost Superskin Facial Collection (£46 at pre-launch and then £76 going forward – the combined value is £113).

The Liz Earle Brighten & Boost Superskin Facial Collection offers four, full sized, Liz Earle skin treats, alongside an eye mask and of course a cleansing cloth too. Think of this as all you need to establish a great yet simple skincare routine, from cleansing, moisturising and even a toner to boot.

Let’s begin with the new Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser release, a new lease of life is bestowed upon the cult classic via the medium of fragrance. This time around we are treated to a delicate symphony of neroli pure essential oil and the white blossom of the bitter orange tree. I am told the idea behind the new scent was to evoke a spa-like serenity with every use. I have to wholeheartedly agree; there is a certain luxurious yet professional quality to this fragrance edition – it is calming, clean and uplifting all at the same time.

Casting aside the new scent, Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is a skincare staple for a good reason – the gentle cream based cleanser, efficiently removes all traces of dirt, grime, make-up and more without stripping even the most delicate of skin types. The thicker than average, cocoa butter based texture, provides plenty of slip to deeply massage the skin – couple that with the natural exfoliation properties of a muslin cloth and you have an at-home facial at your fingertips with each and every cleanse.

The other items within the Liz Earle Brighten & Boost Superskin Facial Collection include:
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic; a soothing toning lotion that refreshes and brightens the skin using ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Cucumber and Vitamin E. A great everyday product that can be used morning and night; in the summer months I recommend popping this liquid in your fridge for an extra refreshing skin pick-me-up.
Liz Earle Instant Brightening Eye Cream; again a thicker than average texture that instantly hydrates and brightens the eye area calling upon ingredients such as: Horse Chestnut Flower, Borage Oil and Echinacea. Much like all the products within this line up, you can use this both morning and evening – as a side note, if you have particularly dry skin, this works wonderfully under make-up too.
Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser; another great multi-tasker and yet again perhaps a slightly more richer formula than some will be used to is The Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser. This cream is unscented to cater to all skin types and contains a slew of luxurious ingredients including: Omega-3, Cranberry and Rosehip oils. If you are a fan of cream-come-moisturiser style primers this slots wonderfully into such category, all the whilst being a wonderful standalone facial moisturiser for all occasions and routines.
You can find the Liz Earle Brighten & Boost Superskin Facial Collection via QVC for £45.96 at pre-launch price, afterwards it will be £76 – link.

The Mineral Foundation that Improved My Acne Prone Skin

Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation

– Sponsored Content – Over the years I have found myself gravitating towards lighter formulations particularly in regards to base products, I’ve grew intolerable to heavy textures and loathe my skin feeling masked in product and yet as I am plagued by problematic skin, I don’t always feel entirely comfortable stepping out into the world bare-faced or with just a slick of tinted moisturiser on my side. If like myself you don’t want to compromise on quality nor coverage when it comes to foundation, the beauty brand you should be turning towards is Annabelle Minerals; beautifully formulated, wonderfully priced and an incredible shade range with warm, cool and neutral shades alike.

Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation Review

Gone are the days when all a foundation had to offer was a hint of tint, thankfully now we have access to products such as Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation that not only effortlessly covers skin imperfections such as redness, discolouration and light scarring; as well as providing SPF30. However with continued use it can reduce sebum secretion by up to 30% as well as reducing the visibility of pores by up to 34% too – a dream for anyone with very oily skin such as myself. I personally believe that anything we apply to our skin daily – and wear for hours – should provide benefits beyond simply masking it in coloured pigment. Make-up should now boast skincare like qualities as standard and that is exactly what Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation delivers and more.

Speaking of shades, Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation comes in no less than 22 shades with tones carefully created and selected to suit fair, light, medium and deep skintones with options for olive, warm, cool and neutral undertones too. There is a shade for most and you can of course mix several tones together should you wish to create your own custom match.

Initially switching to a product such as Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation can be daunting, no doubt you have several questions such as how do you apply such a product and what should you expect from a powder foundation? Well let me put your mind at ease…

Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation Review

Applying Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation couldn’t be easier, simply prime your face as you would normally and then using your face brush of choice (there’s lots to chose from here), buff into the skin using large, round, sweeping motions. I personally find it is best to start with a little product and then gradually build in layers, that way you can hyper focus on the areas of your complexion that require it most. The beauty of a product such as Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation is that you can skip setting powder meaning you save time, money and effort – not to mention it wears far better than any standalone liquid product I have tested.

For me the real test of any base product is how well it covers and stays put on my oily and blemish prone skin. The answer in regards to Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation is really well. As previously mentioned I do apply this is layers meaning I have complete control of coverage levels, allowing me to easily blur my imperfections such as blemishes and acne scarring. As this is a powder product, it is very easy to create a diffused appearance and as such you can have the best of both worlds: high coverage levels with a very natural finish.

Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation Review

Now for why you really came here, how did this little pot help to change my skin over the last few months? Simply it lived up to all that it claimed to do and more, my skin has gradually became less oily and as there is less sebum on my face, in turn there has been less breakouts – and all without drying out my complexion. I can’t quite vouch for the reduction in pore appearance, other than when the product is on my skin that is, but as my pores have always been really large, this doesn’t come as surprise. I also find Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation far easier to remove which in turn means I don’t have to further aggravate my problematic skin come the removal stage with harsh cleansers.

You can find the entire range of Annabelle Minerals cosmetics here, the Annabelle Minerals Coverage Mineral Foundation costs £11.90/10g – link.
