If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I have a bit of a thing for hydration serums. So, when I saw that the Tursian P3 Ultimate Hydration Serum Concentrate was being called a multi-peptide powerhouse, I had to give it a proper test run. And wow, this one has seriously impressed me.

What is it?

The P3 Serum is all about intense hydration and barrier support, but with a major science-led twist. It’s packed with Exosomes, Plant-Based Stem Cells, and multi-layered Peptides, making it more than just your average moisture-booster.

It works to repair, protect and rejuvenate all in one super silky step. And honestly, it delivers.

My Results

Right, so let’s talk about the Space NK Caribbean Shores Shimmer Body Oil which I have to say, was love at first swipe. I love body oils, and shimmering ones are so flattering, especially for summer skin. The last time I really loved one, it was an extortionate Tom Ford one! This is a totally different story.

Quite frankly, I am obsessed with this collection and I don’t think I am going to be alone. In fact, I am predicting a pretty fast sell-out!

This is one of the most makeup-like products in the round-up, so if you want SPF with coverage, this one’s a winner. The texture is really nice. It is thin and liquidy and spreads over the skin effortlessly. It feels super lightweight on the skin yet is really hydrating and comfortable and is boosted with peptides, so ideal for mature skin.

ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF30

Best for: Dewy, plumped skin
SPF: 30
Finish: Super dewy

This is one of the OGs of the tinted SPF skin tint category and still a top pick. It’s packed with skincare ingredients (niacinamide, squalane, hyaluronic acid), and gives such a hydrated finish. Ideal for dry or mature skin andI think this gives a good medium coverage. You can build it up, but it gets dewier the more you apply, so I actually prefer a light layer for more of a weightless feel.

I was really surprised by how much I loved this one! It’s super lightweight, blends in beautifully without any chalkiness, and leaves skin looking fresh and dewy. It’s not overly tinted but gives a soft blur, just enough to even everything out. And although it gives a glow, it actually feels fairly matte on the skin, which is great for the hot summer months.

This is one of the most glow-boosting and perfecting SPFs that doesn’t technically have any coverage that I’ve tried. It has lovely skin perfecting pigments that subtly improve the appearance of your complexion without actually delivering any coverage as such. It layers well over skincare or under makeup. Perfect for dry or dull skin days!

Final Thoughts: Which Tinted Sunscreen is Best for You?

If you’re wondering which skin tint with SPF is right for you, here’s a quick summary to help narrow it down:

Dr Sam’s Flawless Gossamer Tint, MERIT The Uniform, and Naked Sundays Peptide Foundation all give the most foundation-like finish, with proper coverage and a more polished look. ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint also offers impressive coverage and that perfected-skin feel, although it’s SPF30 rather than SPF50.

If you prefer a more lightweight approach, Ultra Violette Future Fluid and Kate Somerville HydraKate don’t offer much coverage as such, but they do a brilliant job of smoothing and perfecting the look of the skin, making them ideal for no-makeup makeup days.

I tend not use fake tan on my face because I worry that the DHA will dry out my skin. However, I recently received the St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Face Mist and seeing as I am tanning my body quite a bit at the moment (summer vibes and all), I thought I’d give it a go. Here’s what you need to know.

What is St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Face Mist?

This mist positions itself as skincare and self tanning combined and promises to deliver a natural sun kissed complexion with instant hydration:

My Review

Why I Don’t Usually Tan My Face…

I have to admit, I don’t usually use tanning products on my face. As someone who deals with hyperpigmentation, I find that many fake tans can cling to uneven patches, making my skin tone look blotchy rather than bronzed. So typically, I rely on my REESON Bronzing Balm*, which I created specifically for mature skin, to help warm up my complexion and match my face to my body.

Another reason I tend to skip face tan? DHA (the active ingredient in most self-tanners). Some studies suggest that DHA can be ageing to the skin, particularly with repeated use and that’s something I’m keen to avoid. So while I’m not definitely not anti-DHA, I do prefer not to use it regularly on my face.

First Impressions: St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Face Mist

Recently though, I was sent the St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Face Mist, and I just couldn’t resist giving it a go. The formulation intrigued me as it’s packed with hydrating skincare ingredients, it’s a super-fine mist, and it doesn’t need to be blended in.

I’ve been using it a few times a week, applying it as the very first step in my skincare routine, straight after cleansing. It absorbs almost instantly, leaving no residue and no need to touch your face.

How I Layer My Face Tan for Maximum Hydration

To help counteract any potential drying effects of DHA, I follow it up with a hydrating mist, the Tursian P2 Mist, which I am obsessed with. It’s packed with complex peptides and hydrators, which I find support my skin barrier and stop my face from drying out. I will have a review of that on the blog soon.

After that, I go in with my usual serums and moisturisers. Yes, this layering process might dilute the intensity of the tan slightly, but I still find I get a gorgeous, even glow. And best of all? It doesn’t cling to my pigmentation, and my skin feels nourished and calm.

Results – A Natural Glow Without Makeup

One thing I love about this product is how natural the tan looks, especially when built up over a few days. It’s such a lovely feeling to wake up to a slight sun-kissed glow and to look that bit more alive and fresh first thing in the morning. It’s a great confidence booster.

I have the tropical scented version, which I find really pleasant. There’ no classic fake tan biscuit smell, which is a major plus.

Bonus Use – The Trick for Tanned Hands

One sneaky tip I have to share: this mist is also amazing for topping up the tan on your hands. Since we wash our hands so frequently, they tend to fade much faster than the rest of the body. With this mist, you can spritz and go. It’s great because there’s no need to wash your hands afterwards, and no mess.

I have really enjoyed this because:
