Glowing Inside and Out With Lumity UK

Lumity UK Review Oil Supplements Vitamins

-Sponsored Content – The older I become the more I have come to appreciate two things: a good skincare routine and supplements. As someone who doesn’t live the most healthiest of lifestyles (think too much sugar and not enough sleep opposed to heavy nights out), I need all the help I can get and yet there isn’t too many brands that cater to both my needs. Think about it, for the best skin possible we need a great combination of topical products and a diet full of healthy nutrients. With Lumity you get the best of both worlds; a nourishing facial oil to moisturise and treat and expertly constructed supplements so you can take care of all your skin needs inside and out without any fuss.

We are all so quick to turn to various lotions and potions, which don’t get me wrong are wonderful but if you are lacking in key nutrients it could all be counterproductive – a little like exercising simply to burn off junk food. I’m sure we all have the best intentions to eat our 5-a-day but sometimes that is easier said than done. So with that in mind, isn’t it time we all stepped up our routines and demand more from food supplements?

With the above in mind, let me be the one to introduce you to the Lumity Morning and Night Supplements, a concoction so wonderful that they are constantly sold out and praised by beauty editors globally (and Sienna Miller no less). In a world of supplements it is tricky to know who to trust or where to even begin but the beauty of the Lumity Morning and Night Supplements take the fuss out of protecting your skin from the inside. As you can see this is a two-step programme with one blend for day and another for evening – the idea being we need different nutrients and vitamins at different times of the day. Each supplement features high-quality omegas, minerals, vitamins along with essential nutrients for numerous benefit such as firmer, youthful-looking skin; stronger, glossier hair and added nail strength. If that is not enough they can help to boost energy, brain function and vitality levels – great for this time of the year when some of us can be affected by the long and darker days. If that is not enough, with continued use they can reduce oxidative stress, which in turn can help you look more youthful for longer. The beauty of the Lumity Morning and Night Supplement programme is that everything you could possibly need to treat your hair, skin, health is all provided in one capsule, saving you time and money!

Lumity Skin Nutrients Facial Oil is often referred to as liquid gold by those in the know as it is a multi-tasking skin treat that contains no less than 32 of nature’s most powerful botanicals, free from synthetic ingredients to balance, moisturise and soothe the complexion in one quick step.

Everything about this facial oil is luxurious from the decadent texture that is quick to absorb into the skin, to the beautiful fragrance that in my opinion only adds to the experience (it contains vetivert to help calm the mind). Sure we’ve all dabbled with facial oils in the past but if the one you are currently using doesn’t smooth the skin, boost collagen and elastin, calm and soothe both the skin and mindset, boosts skin radiance, protects against free radicals (think pollution) as well as balancing skin issues such as excess oil and dryness, then it really is time that you threw it away and replaced it with Lumity Skin Nutrients Facial Oil.

Starting at £48 not only is the Lumity Skin Nutrients Facial Oil reasonably priced but a little goes a long way. I typically use two drops in the morning and follow up later in the evening with a few more drops to keep my skin firmly in check. As it is an oil product, it is quick and easy to apply, not to mention entirely comfortable as there is no greasy nor sticky residue, rather the Lumity Skin Nutrients Facial Oil quickly sinks into the skin leaving it instantly hydrated, glowing and dare I say plumper from the very first application.

Lumity are also one of the few brands that are really striving to make a difference in the beauty world with absolute, ingredient clarity of what goes into each product and a brilliant stance on sustainability using reusable glass bottles, refill pouches that are plastic free and fully recyclable outer packaging. They fully aim to reduce, reuse, recycle and refill as much as possible so you can protect your skin and the planet!

ThisIsSilk Cleansing Cloths Review

ThisIsSilk Cleansing Cloths Review

– Sponsored Content – Sustainability has rightly become an important factor in many everyday choices, from avoiding single use plastics, products and in general excessive packaging, which is what first drew my attention to the brand ThisIsSilk.

Very recently I have switched out cotton pads for machine washable products and haven’t touched a face wipe in what feels like years. Understandably this process took time and there was research involved in deciding, not only what was best for the environment but also my skin type – I have an acne prone complexion meaning anything that is being regularly used has to be able to be properly washed and not every material allows for that, nor regular use for that matter. After much trial and error, I do have a wonderful recommendation in ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloths.

Yes at £24.99 for a pack of three, the ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloths are slightly more expensive than standard face cloths but this is for good reason; each cloth is constructed from 100% un-dyed silk and as such features all the added benefits of Silk amino acids. To the touch, ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloths don’t feel out of the ordinary but due to the unique weave of the Silk, it gently exfoliates, conditions and smooths the complexion in one quick step. This is all without switching what skincare products you currently use nor any real added effort on your part. Rather interestingly Silk has been clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and speed up the rate of cellular regeneration when used in such manner. If that is not enough to tempt you to switch to ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloths the fact that they are also entirely biodegradable could be the factor that sways you?

ThisIsSilk Cleansing Cloths Review

As mentioned above, you simply use the ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloths as you would any other facial cloth of this nature. For me this typically involves pairing with a balm cleanser; I simply apply my cleanser as normal, dampen my ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloth and remove by gently wiping and buffing off the now emulsified cleanser. After a few uses I have noticed that my skin is softer to the touch and despite being into the colder months, I have yet to suffer from a dried out and dull complexion which I have to put this down to switching to ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloths as I have changed absolutely nothing else. Perhaps a weird claim but I also find that when using my ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloth in the morning, any pillow creases in my face are so much quicker to plump back out?

Sure the ThisIsSilk, Silk Cleansing Cloths are expensive but as they are something you can use over and over again, not to mention all the additional benefits that a traditional cloth cannot offer and of course they are kind to the planet.

Five Of The Best Face Masks I Rely On To Really Deliver: Soothe, Hydrate, Plump, Boost & Clear

Every 90’s girl spent their pocket money on sachets of brightly coloured face masks from Superdrug, and applied them in anticipation of feeling like a proper grown up having a ‘girls night in’. The magazines lead us down the path…

L’Occitane Art de Vivre Candles

L'Occitane Art de Vivre Candles

Did you know that L’Occitane have a beautiful and permanent line of candles which make up the Art de Vivre collection? No? Me neither up until very recently and of course being the candle fiend that I am, ordered one of each scent to try out – for the sake of research of course, not because I have a serious problem or anything like that.

 L'Occitane Art de Vivre Candles

In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter how a candle looks? It’s like perfume bottles, as long as the juice inside smells great, I can’t say I pay it too much mind – what I’m really saying here is that I don’t buy candles to match my decor. However I do think that L’Occitane have done a great job in delivering their Art de Vivre candles in a way that they are fairly muted and neutral in design. As such they should appeal to most – not to mention they make great gifts.

Within the L’Occitane Art de Vivre collection there is four scents to chose from all of which is available across a whole range of products to scent your home and body. The idea of the Art de Vivre range does seem to be that it has been created to engulf the senses with indulgent scents, all of which have been infused with essential oils, to evoke the Provençal spirit of ‘art de vivre’.

I rather like that each fragrance has a purpose, almost akin to the benefits of aromatherapy rather than simply being dubbed a citrus, floral, what-have-you type of scent. The four fragrances within the Art de Vivre collection are:
Harmony – the scent to bring the outdoors directly into your home, said to have been created to mimic the sensory delight of taking a walk a pine forest, surrounded by the green freshness of trees. It is safe to say that this is a fresh and almost menthol type scent with strong notes of cypress, thyme, eucalyptus, juniper and ylang-ylang essential oils, to bring a feeling of harmony.
Relaxing – a gentle and sleepy blend of Lavender, sweet orange, bergamot, mandarin and geranium. If like myself you aren’t the hugest fan of Lavender fragrances this is one to seek out as you have all the relaxing benefits of said ingredient and yet thanks to the additional and somewhat fruity notes, the Lavender isn’t overpowering. A great candle to curl up with at night.

Revitalising – So you need a little pep in your step? The Revitalising Candle has been created to offer a zesty yet fresh scent using an invigorating blend of mint, pine, rosemary, sweet orange and litsea cubeba. This is the only scent out of the four that has a warm, almost sunny fragrance that does refresh and invigorate, I find myself using it whilst working at home to keep me motivated and on track.

Uplifting – Winter is long and often grey, what could be better than an uplifting and fresh fragrance of immortelle, basil, cypress, eucalyptus and litsea cubeba to pretend that you are in a sunnier destination than home.

As there are lots of candle brands within the market at the moment, finding a suitable comparison and reference point wasn’t too difficult, I’d imagine if you like Neom fragrances, this is a range you will also enjoy.
You can find all four L’Occitane Art de Vivre candles for £20/140g each here – link.
