Treat Time: The Clinique Covent Garden Gift #ad

If you’re intent on overhauling your beauty cabinet this January then now is the time: Clinique have a gorgeous gift available at their Covent Garden store, available with the purchase of two or more Clinique products*. The gift includes a mini of one of my favourite shades in the Pop Lip Colour and Primer line-up, “Melon Pop” (you can read by rave about those lipsticks here) and a brilliant shadow duo in “Black Honey and Amber” as well as a High Impact mascara (3.5ml), Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser (30ml), Dramatically Different Moisturiser+ (30ml) and Repairwear Laser Focus Eye Cream (5ml). Everything comes presented in a colourful makeup bag designed in collaboration with Kapitza Studio, who make brilliant geometric art for interiors and fashion textiles.

I find beauty miniatures irresistible (as you would find out if you ever poked about in my office drawers, which are full to the brim with tiny tubes of face cream and dinky perfume bottles and little glass pots of this and that) and I entirely blame Clinique for this particular addiction, because it was their “Bonus Time” gifts that got me hooked in my late teens!
I loved being able to discover new products and – as an incorrigible beauty addict – I liked the excuse to treat myself to a couple of things knowing that I was getting even more stuff to play about with at home. Though I’m pretty sure that the makeup offerings when I was a teen were never quite so tempting as they are these days; just look at this Melon Pop Lip Color:
So bright and cheerful for these dismal winter days. The formula is rich and buttery and feels comforting on crackled weather-beaten lips, but the colour is vibrant and bold. Just gorgeous.

And the All About Shadow duo is very wearable and flattering; below I’ve used the lighter shade as a wash across the lid and the darker to add depth and define the lashline slightly. I’ve finished off with a couple of coats of the High Impact Mascara…
This gift is exclusive to the Covent Garden Store until the 30th January 2016 – free with the purchase of two or more Clinique products* – and if you’re stocking up and happen to buy a third product, you get a free FULL SIZE Moisture Surge Overnight Mask! If you need some pointers when it comes to skincare choices then please do read my post here.

You can find the Clinique Covent Garden Store on the East Piazza. If you don’t live in or near London and can’t get to Covent Garden then please do check the Clinique website for online offers. You can find that here.
*one to be skincare or foundation. Or with the purchase of one Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush. This post is an advertorial for Clinique.

A Little Black Midi Dress & My New Found Love For Hairbands

“Everyone needs a little black dress in their wardrobe…” Words probably passed down from generation to generation for the last five decades. There’s a reason it’s a closet staple, transcending style and age, and why it’s always a fall-back when…

The Limited Edition Liz Earle Bergamot & Basil Collection

Liz Earle skincare – particularly the ever iconic Cleanse & Polish – has had pride of place in my bathroom since I began beauty blogging 8 years ago. It is one of those few brands that I fully trust and tend to splurge on frequently, especially should the product be and exciting which leads me to the new and very much limited edition Liz Earle Bergamot & Basil Collection; a range of 4 products that should you act now, will not only come in a beautiful gift box but also at a heavily discounted price.

The best way to describe the limited edition Liz Earle Bergamot & Basil fragrance is zesty and uplifting. It is a fresh combination of Egyptian Basil and Italian Bergamot which fuse together to create an invigorating blend that is perfect for perking up even the darkest of winter nights and days – or you of course could squirrel this particular launch away for next Summer should you wish. I can’t quite make up my mind if it is the power of suggestion at play, thanks to the cute illustrations on the packaging but at times, the limited edition Liz Earle Bergamot & Basil scent does have a certain “lime” like note which I personally rather enjoy.

The limited edition Liz Earle Bergamot & Basil Collection contains a few fan favourites all complete with the beautiful new fragrance; the aforementioned skincare staple that is Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (150ml), as well as Liz Earle Skin Tonic (200ml) are decorated both with the new scent and packaging – both of which I find are great for all skin types and needs. For the body there is the Liz Earle Botanical Body Cream (200ml) and the Liz Earle Hand Repair (50ml), again scented with Bergamot and Basil and presented in freshly adorned packaging.

Now if you are currently planning ahead and perhaps not adverse to stocking up on Christmas presents a little earlier than most, the good news is that the limited edition Liz Earle Bergamot & Basil Collection is available via QVC and not only features the above products but also: the original Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (200ml), two Liz Earle Cleansing Cloths and Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser (50ml), all neatly presented in a gift box and for the rather impressive price of just £52.96 (contents worth over £126).
