Texture & Finish

One of the first things I noticed about SunsolveMD FIRM + REPLENISH EYES SPF 50 is the gorgeously smooth, hydrating texture. It glides on beautifully and melts into the skin without dragging or sitting heavily. It’s rich without being greasy, and it feels so comforting around the eye contour.

What really impressed me is the flattering tint. It’s not makeup, but it does a beautiful job of softly perfecting the eye area. It blurs discolouration and gives a lovely healthy glow, which means you could maybe skip concealer on low-makeup days.

Makeup Compatibility

It also layers like a dream. I’ve worn it both under makeup and as a top-up during the day. It doesn’t pill, shift, or disturb any base products if you are careful to tap it into the skin, and because it’s so gentle, there’s no irritation or stinging if you reapply.

Gentle on Eyes, Powerful on Skincare

Perhaps the most standout quality for me is zero irritation. No stinging, no watering, no tightness. It’s been tested around the eyes and is completely ophthalmologist-approved, which gives me real peace of mind.

You know when a product just slots into your routine perfectly? That’s exactly what happened with the Tandae Tanning Face Mist for me. I’ve been testing this over the last couple of weeks and I’m honestly so impressed with how easy it is to use, how gorgeous the colour is, and how it makes me look fresher the morning after I have used it, even with zero makeup.

If you’re on the hunt for a no-fuss, natural-looking tan for your face that plays nicely with your skincare, this might be the one.

The Tandae Tanning Face Mist is a lightweight, fine facial tanning mist that’s designed to give you a healthy-looking tan while being super gentle on the skin. You simply mist it on over your skincare, and wake up to that perfect just-back-from-holiday glow.

How to use it

The Tandae Tanning Face Mist is super easy to use. I like to do my night time skincare as normal, and then spray a few times over my face and neck, and use my fingers to smooth it over my skin. Be sure to wash your hands after use.

Why I Love It

There are a few reasons this has quickly earned a spot in my top shelf.

1. So Easy to Use

This really couldn’t be simpler to apply. I do my full skincare routine – cleanse, serum, moisturiser – then give my face a few spritzes of the mist. I then just smooth it over my face just to make sure it’s blended and then quickly wash my hands. It fits so neatly into my evening routine and genuinely feels foolproof.

2. Skincare-Friendly

One of the main things I love about this Tandae mist is that you apply it after your skincare, which I think helps buffer the effects of DHA on the skin. If you’re conscious of the potential ageing effects of self-tan actives, this is a brilliant way to reduce that risk while still getting a beautiful glow.

3. Only Need a Few Sprays

It’s really economical. I just use 3 to 4 sprays and I find this is enough for a lovely, even colour. I feel like this bottle is going to last me absolutely ages, which definitely adds to its value for money.

4. No Smell, No Drying the Skin

There’s no noticeable scent, which is a huge win, plus, it doesn’t dry out my skin at all.

The Colour Payoff & Tone

This is where Tandae really stands out for me. The tone is absolutely beautiful. It is natural, not too golden, and definitely not orange. It gives a rich, healthy-looking tan that feels like you, but glowier.

One thing I’ve noticed that really sets this apart from other face tanners is that it doesn’t worsen my hyperpigmentation. A lot of facial tans can deepen any existing pigment, but I haven’t found that with this at all.

When I look in the mirror in the morning, I just look really fresh and healthy, even if I don’t feel it, which is always a good start to the day!

How Does It Compare to St Tropez Face Mist?

Earlier this summer I reviewed the St Tropez Self Tan Purity Face Mist, and while I really liked that for a super subtle and easy to use glow, I find Tandae gives a much richer, deeper colour in fewer uses.

The St Tropez mist gives a soft glow, which is great if you want something very subtle, but Tandae gives a more noticeable tan that still looks incredibly natural. I’d say it’s ideal if you want to skip makeup altogether, as it adds such a lovely warmth and evenness to the skin.

Application Tips

  • Always mist onto clean, moisturised skin. Your regular skincare acts as a protective barrier and helps smooth out application.
  • Hold the bottle around 6-8 inches from your face, and do 2–4 light spritzes, covering all areas.
  • You can pat it in lightly with your fingers, but it’s really not necessary.
  • I usually use it before bed, and wake up to a perfectly developed tan.

I haven’t had any breakouts or irritation from this, and I’ve been using it every couple of days.

Final Thoughts

If you’re after a quick and easy facial tanning mist that fits seamlessly into your routine, then the Tandae Tanning Face Mist is definitely worth a look.

I am now really excited to try the body tans. I have the shade Dark, which I will give a go, even though it’s no secret that I am 100% an Ultra Dark kind of girl. I will keep you posted!!

What Is a Tubing Mascara?

If you’ve never tried a tubing mascara, here’s the lowdown. Unlike traditional formulas that use waxes and oils (which can smudge), tubing mascaras use polymer technology to wrap around each lash. This creates “tubes” that stay put all day and slide off with warm water.

The RUM Wrap Party Tubing Mascara comes in two stunning shades: Taxi and Inkwell, and while colour is the obvious difference, I’ve noticed that each formula delivers a slightly different lash effect too, which I absolutely love.

  • Taxi is your deepest black. It is intense, bold, and dramatic. It gives gorgeous depth of colour and a real punch of volume. If you love that instant impact, this is the one. It’s perfect for nights out, events, or whenever you want a lash that really shows up
  • Inkwell, on the other hand, is a beautifully elegant midnight navy. It gives a more fluttery, lengthened look which I think is super refined and wearable. It’s softer than black, but still defines the eyes beautifully, especially on my brown eyes I think. I find it ideal for daytime or for a chic, understated look,

Inkwell will be my one to go for a daytime lash, while Taxi brings all the night time drama. Both perform the same with no smudging or crumbling.

I genuinely don’t think I own another navy mascara and I am so happy to have Inkwell in my collection. It is subtle but striking and gives that hint of colour that brightens the whites of the eyes, makes lashes look lush but soft, and adds a bit of an unexpected elegant yet edgy twist.

It pairs so beautifully with my REESON Beauty Lid Elixir in Toasted Cinnamon. The navy of Inkwell really plays off the warmth of the shadow. I’ll be reaching for this combo all summer long.

What’s the Wand Like?

The Wrap Party brush is just right. It’s slender and slightly tapered, allowing you to get right into the base of the lashes to lift, separate, and coat every lash evenly and it really gets into the inner corners.

It performs brilliantly on both top and bottom lashes, with no mess or smudges, which is a massive win.

How to Apply Wrap Party Tubing Mascara

You apply it like a traditional mascara but with one key tip. As works best with tubing mascaras, I like to layer it while it’s still wet to build up the volume, something that Sam, Sali and Jo recommend.

Because it’s a tubing formula, you don’t want to wait between coats. Just keep building until you get your desired level of drama. RUM say: Taxi builds beautifully for a bold, glam look, while Inkwell looks best with one or two elegant coats.

How to Remove It

As this is a tubing mascara, you don’t need anything fancy. Simply:

  • Soak lashes with warm water
  • Gently pinch between your thumb and finger, and the little tubes slide off

Is RUM Wrap Party Tubing Mascara Worth It?

In a word: YES.

This is genuinely one of the nicest tubing mascaras I’ve tried and depending on which one you choose and how you apply it, you can achieve that lash-lifted, fluttery, clean glam look that so many mascaras promise but few deliver or you can build up for extra volume and full glam. I love that it comes in a Navy which is actually pretty rare shade!
