I’ll be writing up full posts on most of the products shown in the following video; I have loads of before-and-after pics to show you and I don’t want to cram them all onto one page! There are some absolute crackers that I’ve discovered recently – new foundations that have only just launched, complexion enhancers that are about to launch and a few BB/CC/Tinted Moisturise-y things that are well worth a look.

It’s worth noting that Space NK have their discovery offer on again, £10 off if you spend £40, so if you are seduced by the amazing new Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation that you’re about to see, then now would be a good time to give it a go! It’s very, very lovely. I got it all a bit wrong in my video and thought that I had the oil-free version, when in fact I was using the moisturizing one – which may explain why I thought that it was so juicy and sumptuous! Oh, we’re knee-deep in this whole headache-inducing Black Friday business, which seems to now start on a Wednesday and last until a Tuesday, but still manages to fill me with excitement because: DISCOUNTS. Discounts are basically my downfall – give me any kind of voucher code or “special VIP coupon” and I simply must use it, even if I don’t need anything. It’s an affliction. The only saving grace for me this year is that I look like a snake after it’s eaten a football and so I can’t shop for clothes. Baby clothes, different matter, but they tend to be cheaper… (Baby GAP have 40% off everything here. Thank me later.)

Anyway, I’ve done a round-up of the best beauty deals just in case you’d appreciate having them all in one place. If you’re after codes for the online beauty “supermarkets” then LookFantastic have one on their homepage (on Friday it was for 25% but it supposedly decreases over time) and FeelUnique have 15% off everything with the code MAKEITMAGIC.

I wasn’t going to do any more posts this year on Gifts-with-Purchases but I just love this one from Harvey Nichols: it’s mammoth. It’s as though someone on the beauty team got completely overexcited about the whole idea and decided to put in every sample they could get their hands on. I’ve copied the full list of products at the bottom of this post for your perusal but there’s just the most brilliant mix of skincare, bodycare and makeup.

And the bag itself is lovely – roomy, smart-looking and with a classic, Aspinal-like feel. It’s quite masculine, in a way, and (dare I say this?) you could probably get away with giving this is a Christmas present, with a few choice grooming products stashed away inside. That’s if you can bear to part with it…

MinMax Beauty: We get our hands on ‘A Model Recommends’…

I made a bit of a random vlog when I was at the MinMax shoot; it was so nice not to have to worry about getting proper content (we had a videographer present) and so I concentrated on just speaking gibberish and recording nonsense. So here you see me attempting to clean my face with a dish-scourer and chatting away about dead bodies and how they can be turned into diamonds… I’m really trying to remember to vlog more, but I have to admit that I struggle with it. Partly because I’m always quite busy, but mostly because many of the people I spend my time with “off duty” couldn’t think of anything worse than appearing in a Youtube video! Which is somewhat limiting. Mr AMR has offered to be in my videos wearing a mask or a full gorilla suit, but I can’t see how that would solve anything…
