Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Collagen-Boosting Mask Review

You know I love a good skincare gadget, and LED masks are always interesting, as they offer up an easy way to incorporate salon-type technology into the every day. So when I saw that Beauty Pie had launched a brand-new device, the Dynamo Deep LED Collagen-Boosting Mask, I had to investigate.

Now, I haven’t properly tested it yet (this is my first look post), but there’s already tons of buzz about it, and I know lots of you are googling for reviews. So, let’s have a deep dive into everything we know so far, including the tech, the price, how it compares with Beauty Pie’s previous LED mask, and how it stacks up against the CurrentBody Skin LED Mask.

Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Mask vs CurrentBody LED Mask
Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Mask vs CurrentBody LED Mask

Once I’ve put it properly through its paces, I’ll update this post with my full review, results and and thoughts, so definitely bookmark or sign up to my newsletter so you don’t miss that update.

Meet the Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Collagen-Boosting Mask

Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Collagen-Boosting Mask
Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Collagen-Boosting Mask

This new mask is part of Beauty Pie’s ever-growing line-up of pro-grade skincare tech for home use. It’s designed to use three wavelengths of light, red, near-infrared and deep-infrared to stimulate collagen, boost glow, and generally help skin look smoother and bouncier over time.

The brand says the deeper wavelengths are able to penetrate more layers of the skin, supporting elasticity and reducing fine lines from the inside out.

It’s a really lovely flexible silicone design, so it moulds nicely to the face, and it comes with an adjustable head strap and USB-C charging cable. Beauty Pie say it delivers professional-grade LED performance at a much lower price than many of the luxury models on the market (and we’ll get to that comparison in a sec).

Beauty Pie say, “There’s LED. Then there’s Deep LED” and that this device should deliver visibly smoother, firmer skin in a week. Let’s see!!

The Tech Explained: How LED Light Boosts Collagen

If you’re new to LED, here’s a quick refresher.

LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy works by sending specific wavelengths of light energy into the skin. Different wavelengths penetrate to different depths:

  • Red light (around 630 nm) helps to boost collagen production and calm inflammation.
  • Near-infrared light (around 830 nm) penetrates deeper, improving elasticity and cell repair.
  • Deep-infrared light (900 nm +) goes even further into the dermis, the “collagen factory” layer, where it may help strengthen the skin’s foundation and resilience.

Unlike UV, these wavelengths don’t cause damage or heat; they gently energise the cells so they work more efficiently.

My top tip: Consistency is key. LED masks are only worth investing in if you know you are going to use them regularly – around 3-5 times a week. Long term results build over time.

And speaking of wavelengths, you might be wondering why Beauty Pie went one step further with their new 1070 nm “deep-infrared” tech…

Why Does Beauty Pie Use a 1070 nm Wavelength?

You might be wondering, if all the studies refer to 633 nm red and 830 nm near-infrared light, why has Beauty Pie gone deeper with 1070 nm “deep-infrared”?

Well, this longer wavelength is designed to travel further into the skin, past the surface layers that red light targets and down into the deeper dermis where your fibroblasts (aka your collagen-making cells) live. The idea is that by reaching those lower layers, 1070 nm light can help reinforce skin structure, support elasticity, and boost circulation from within.

It’s the same kind of wavelength often used in medical-grade LED and laser treatments for wound healing and muscle recovery, so it’s not totally new to science, just newer to beauty devices. Think of it as Beauty Pie taking things up a gear: still giving you the proven collagen-boosting red and near-infrared wavelengths, but adding an extra “deep-infrared” dimension for potentially more intensive rejuvenation.

That said, the research on 1070 nm for cosmetic anti-ageing is still growing, so it’ll be really interesting to see whether that deeper wavelength makes a visible difference once I’ve tested it properly. Stay tuned for that part!

The newest Currentbody Mask uses this deeper wavelength too, however, their price is £399, which is a lot more expensive than this Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Mask even on the non-member price, and even with one of the MANY CurrentBody discount codes floating around!

The Science Bit – Why 1070 nm Matters

1. It penetrates even deeper layers of the skin.

  • 1070 nm light sits in the “deep-infrared” range, which travels further through the dermis than 830 nm.
  • This means it can reach fibroblasts and vascular structures that lie deeper under the surface, potentially improving skin density, elasticity, and micro-circulation.
  • It’s not just about wrinkles on the surface; deeper light can support the underlying “scaffolding” of the skin.

2. It targets different cellular mechanisms.

  • While red and near-IR wavelengths work mainly by stimulating mitochondria to produce more ATP (cell energy), studies suggest that 1070 nm also influences nitric oxide release and micro-vascular flow, helping oxygen and nutrients reach the skin more effectively.
  • That could mean a plumper, more oxygenated look over time, even if the immediate “glow” is less visible than with red light.

3. It’s a newer wavelength for consumer LED therapy, but it’s gaining interest.

  • Several medical-grade devices (for wound healing, pain relief and even hair regrowth) already use 1064–1072 nm because of its deep tissue penetration.
  • Beauty Pie seem to be positioning the Dynamo Deep as a “next-generation” LED mask, extending beyond the usual 830 nm range into deeper wavelengths for a potentially stronger collagen effect.
  • Think of it as moving from “skin surface support” to “structural reinforcement.”

But: Important Context

  • The evidence base for 1070 nm in cosmetic anti-ageing is still emerging. It’s not as well-documented as 633 nm or 830 nm in published peer-reviewed skincare studies.
  • So while it’s scientifically plausible (and promising), we don’t yet have the same depth of human clinical data showing exactly how much more effective it is for wrinkles or firmness.

I’ll out it to the test and let you know what I think.

  • Proven to improve the overall skin complexion, using 1070nm (the deepest penetrating wavelength used in at-home LED devices to date) to reduce under-eye bags and puffiness, and smooth texture and tone
  • Helps the skin look fresh & hydrated (using 830nm) – supports the skin’s natural restorative and healing function, to boost circulation, improve blood flow, and increase oxygen
  • Skin looks pump & glowing (using 630nm) – enhances the production of collagen and reduces redness – to leave skin radiant and hydrated
  • 15 proven benefits – including firming, smoothing, skin-softening, reducing the appearance of fine lines, visibly improving skin tone and improving the appearance of pores

How To Use the Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Mask

All you need to do is place the Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED mask over your face when it’s clean and free from product. Thread the two sets of straps through the inlet holes on either side of the mask, and fasten behind your head. You can adjust the forehead and chin sections to tailor your fit. Finally you just need to connect the mask to the controller and switch on. The treatment automatically switches off after 10 minutes. Done!

Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Treatment Recommendations:

For best results, Beauty recommend using the new mask 3-5 days a week for a minimum of 6 weeks. Personally, I think if you can make LED part of your every day routine, you will really see the results.

Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED vs the Previous Beauty Pie LED Mask

Beauty Pie’s last LED mask (the C-Wave Dual Light Mask) already had a loyal following, but there were a few niggles, mainly that it was fairly rigid and offered only two wavelengths. I can’t comment on this, as I never tried the original Beauty Pie mask.

Here’s how the new Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED compares on paper:

Feature Dynamo Deep LED Mask C-Wave Dual Light Mask
Price £275 (£199 members) £200 (£120 members)
Light Types Red 630nm + Near-Infrared 830nm + Deep Infrared 1070nm Red 630nm + Near-Infrared 830nm
LED Count Increased LED count Fewer LEDs overall
Design Flexible silicone with adjustable feature More rigid design
Treatment Time 10 mins 10 mins
Charging USB-C Micro-USB

On paper, it looks like a proper upgrade: extra wavelengths, better fit, and a sleeker design.

Exclusive Offer

Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED vs CurrentBody Skin LED Mask

It’s impossible to talk LED masks without mentioning CurrentBody because literally the world and his wife has a discount code!

Here’s a side-by-side snapshot:

Feature Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep CurrentBody Skin LED Mask
Price £275 (£199 members) £399.99
Wavelengths Red 630nm + Near-Infrared 830nm + Deep Infrared 1070nm Red 633nm + Near-Infrared 830nm + Deep Infrared 1072nm
Treatment Time 10 mins 10 mins
Design Flexible silicone Flexible silicone
App / Smart Features No Optional app support

The main difference here to me is the price! The Beauty Pie mask is significantly cheaper, whether you are a Beauty Pie member or not. Even with the prolific amount of CurrentBody discount codes, Beauty Pie will still be better value for money.

My early thoughts: If the performance matches the spec sheet, Beauty Pie might have produced one of the best value LED masks out there. But of course, I’ll need to test it to see how it truly compares on comfort, fit and glow factor.

Who Is The Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Collagen-Boosting Mask For?

  • Skincare lovers who already love at-home tech
  • Those targeting firmness, elasticity, fine lines and texture
  • Anyone who wants salon-style results without the clinic price tag

If you’re new to LED, you might prefer to start with something simpler, but personally if I think that if you want to get serious about collagen support, the Dynamo Deep could be the one.

My Testing Plan (Full Review Coming Soon!)

I’ll be using the Dynamo Deep LED Mask 3–4 times a week for at least six weeks on clean skin before serum or moisturiser. I will report back here after a week or two as they have this 7 day claim – Delivers visibly smoother, firmer skin in as little as 7 days – so that you can understand the shorter term benefits too. I will be tracking:

  • Glow and brightness
  • Fine lines and firmness
  • Redness and sensitivity
  • Comfort and wear-time

Once I’ve finished the testing period, I’ll update this post with my full review and and final verdict.

So check back in or subscribe to my updates. I’ll make sure you get all the details the minute it’s live!

LED Mask FAQs

How often should you use an LED mask?

Most dermatologists recommend 3-5 times a week for 10-15 minutes. Consistency matters more than session length.

Does LED really boost collagen?

Yes. Red and near-infrared light have been shown in clinical studies to stimulate fibroblasts, which produce collagen and elastin.

Can I use LED with retinol or acids?

Yes, but not at the same time. Use LED on clean skin, then apply actives afterwards (ideally on alternate evenings).

Is it safe for all skin types?

Generally yes, though if you have photosensitivity or are taking medications that increase light sensitivity, check with your doctor first.

What wavelengths are best?

For anti-ageing: around 633 nm (red) and 830 nm (near-infrared) have the most evidence behind them. However, 1070 nm (deep-infrared), used in the Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED mask, promises to penetrate beyond the surface layers reached by red light and into the deeper dermis, where fibroblasts – the cells responsible for producing collagen – are found.

Update: My Full Review & Results

Update coming soon!
I’m currently testing the Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Mask and will report back here with my full results and verdict after a week or so, and once I’ve completed my six-week trial.

Final Thoughts (For Now)

On paper, the Beauty Pie Dynamo Deep LED Mask looks incredibly promising – professional-grade tech, a sleek flexible design, and a price that undercuts the major players.

If it performs as well as the spec sheet suggests, it could easily become one of 2025’s top beauty gadgets. I’ll keep you posted once I’ve put it through its paces!

My Honest Take on the Lip Treatments

While the Peptide Lip Treatments tend to get the most buzz online, I’ve been much for impressed with the Rhode Peptide Lip Shape Pencil. It’s beautifully creamy and easy to use, but I’m still not completely sold on the texture of some of Rhode’s Pepetide Lip Treatments, hence why I’ve not yet featured them. I have tried a few, and a couple of them felt a bit crunchy in texture and overly sticky. They are well loved, but definitely not my top pick from the brand.

If you love that glossy-lip look but prefer a smoother, more cushiony feel, I’d genuinely recommend trying my REESON Glossing Balm* instead. I created it to deliver a high-shine, hydrated finish, with a softer, balmier texture. You can read more about it in my REESON Glossing Balm Review.

Where to Buy Rhode in the UK

Rhode is now officially stocked at Sephora UK* both online and in selected stores. You can also still buy directly from rhode.com, but Sephora offers faster UK shipping and easy returns.

Final Thoughts

It’s so exciting to see Rhode finally launch at Sephora UK. It’s a brand that truly captures that clean, fresh, dewy-skin vibe we all love. I’ll keep updating my Rhode reviews as the line grows, but if you’re shopping the launch, those core skincare pieces are the ones to start with.

Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator Review

If you’ve been on the hunt for a gentle yet powerful treatment to help brighten, smooth, and refine your skin, the Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator might just be one to add to your list. I’ve been testing it out for a few weeks now, and I’m impressed with how refined and radiant my skin looks after each use.

This next-generation treatment peel promises all the glow without the irritation. Here’s what you need to know.

What is Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator?

What is Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator?
What is Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator?

The Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator is a multi-tasking exfoliating treatment designed to help even out skin texture, tackle breakouts, restore firmness, and brighten dull, uneven tone.

It’s formulated with a potent yet gentle 12.5% AHA blend that combines Dioic, Mandelic, and Salicylic acids with Pomegranate Enzymes to deliver visible results while still being kind to the skin barrier.

What really sets it apart is its focus on balance. You get all the resurfacing and glow, without any redness or dryness. Even those with sensitive skin can use it comfortably.

Key Ingredients and How They Work

AHA & BHA Blend (12.5%)

  • Dioic Acid helps reduce sebum production and target breakouts.
  • Mandelic Acid (a gentle AHA) smooths texture and boosts brightness without irritation.
  • Salicylic Acid dives deep into pores to unclog and refine.
  • Pomegranate Enzymes offer gentle enzymatic exfoliation for a polished, glowing finish.

I have to say, I’ve always been drawn to pomegranate enzymes ever since I first discovered them in the iconic REN Clean Skincare Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask (I used to get so excited about using that mask back in the day!). It’s such a shame REN is no longer really around, but I love that this Sachi formula gives me that same kind of glow, just in a more advanced, skin-kind way.

Ayurvedic Botanicals

  • Manuka Honey UMF 20+ soothes and hydrates while supporting skin healing.
  • Gotu Kola strengthens the skin barrier and promotes elasticity.
  • Glycerin adds a hit of moisture to counteract any potential dryness from the exfoliating acids.

The combination of these actives means it doesn’t just exfoliate, it also calms, nourishes, and strengthens the skin.

My Review and How I Use It

My Review of Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator
My Review of Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator

I’ve been using the Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator as a flash mask in the evenings, about once a week. I’m always careful not to over-exfoliate, and this has slotted perfectly into my routine.

Here’s how I’ve been using it:

  1. Cleanse my skin thoroughly.
  2. Apply two pumps of the Accelerator in a generous, even layer.
  3. Leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes – it feels cooling, and you can sense a gentle tingle as the acids get to work.
  4. Rinse off with lukewarm water, pat dry, and follow with my usual hydrating serums and night cream.

It gives my skin a lovely glow and makes it feels super fresh and clean. There’s no redness or sensitivity, and it leaves my complexion prepped beautifully for the rest of my skincare.

It actualy reminds me of the Drunk Elephant Baby Facial, and also the Charlotte Tilbury Super Radiance Resurfacing Facial, but much more suited to sensitive skin.

I don’t tend to suffer from acne, but I do get congestion around the sides of my chin, and I’ve noticed that this helps smooth out those little bumps and refine the texture. It’s effective without being harsh, always important when it comes to exfoliating treatments.

Results and Skin Benefits

Key takeaways:

  • Leaves skin feeling smooth, soft, and radiant
  • No irritation or redness
  • Gently refines texture and helps with congestion
  • Hydrating and comforting, not stripping

I can imagine this being a real hero for anyone dealing with blemishes, dullness, or uneven tone, but it’s equally lovely if your skin just needs a gentle reset.

Who Will Love It

This is a fantastic treatment for most skin types, including sensitive.
It’s ideal if you:

  • Experience dullness or uneven texture
  • Struggle with congestion or breakouts
  • Want to smooth and brighten without irritation

Final Thoughts

The Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator is a brilliant, well-balanced exfoliating treatment that gives all the glow and refinement of a gentle peel with no downtime. I love that it feels both effective and nourishing.

Where to buy it

The Sachi Complexion Clarifying Accelerator is £65 for 30ml and is available now via the link below:

My Review

My Review of Olay Regenerist Firming Body Lotion Niacinamide
My Review of Olay Regenerist Firming Body Lotion Niacinamide

I got my hands on this new UK launch at the recent Olay Red Carpet event. You can see me trying it out for the first time in this Instagram Reel below:

Why I’m Excited

I have seen a lot of buzz about the Olay body lotions online. They are products that are available in the US market but impossible to get in the UK, and excitingly, they are finally landing in UK stores.

Because I got a sample ahead of the full rollout at the recent event, I’ve had time to test it properly (you know I don’t just swatch, I use). And honestly, I’m impressed.

First Impressions & Texture

Olay Regenerist Firming Body Lotion Niacinamide texture
Olay Regenerist Firming Body Lotion Niacinamide texture

The texture of this body lotion is absolutely on point. It has a lovely light gel-cream texture that melts into the skin effortlessly, without any stickiness at all. It feels really serum-y in the way it hydrates but still really nourishing like a moisturiser.

On night one, I applied it only to one forearm (yes, I do these half-tests) before bedtime. The next morning I actually noticed a difference. The arm I’d treated felt softer. To make sure it wasn’t just in my head, I told my husband I’d tested a body lotion and asked him to guess which arm I’d used it on. He immediately picked the treated one, confirming what I’d felt.

It absorbs quickly. Smells good (but not overpowering). And on thicker, rougher areas like the elbows and knees, it genuinely felt more comfortable. That’s a big win as far as I am concerned.

How It Performed (My Two-Week Mini Test)

What I loved:

  • Softness boost – Immediately (one use) the treated area felt smoother; I could feel hydration “infusing” into the skin instead of just sitting on top
  • Firming effect (visually subtle) – While “firming” for a body lotion is trickier to gauge, after a week the texture of my skin felt improved (especially problems areas like knees and elbows) with less dryness and less roughness
  • Absorption time – No greasy residue. You can apply and then reach for your pyjamas and not feel uncomfortable
  • Smell – Pleasant. Fresh. Not heavy. Good for someone who dislikes “perfumed” body creams
  • Ideal for problem zones – If you’ve got hard skin patches (elbows, outer arms, etc.), this is a strong contender

Things to keep in mind:

Because it’s new to the UK market (see below) price & availability may vary, so keep an eye out for launch deals. It is available HERE* now for £9.99 (regular price £14.99).

As always with “firming” claims: the effect is moderate. I don’t expect dramatic skin-lifting overnight. But this delivers a noticeably better texture, which in my book counts.

UK Launch & Availability – What You Need to Know

  • The product is just launching in the UK market, after being available in the US for a while (which explains why many of us have seen it via US trips or “haul” posts)
  • It’s available at Boots in-store and online* at Boots now

Other Olay Body Lotions now available in the UK

I haven’t yet tried these varieties, but you can also now buy:

  • Olay Collagen Peptide Restoring Body Lotion*
  • Olay Vitamin C Brightening Body Lotion*
  • Olay Hyaluronic Acid Replenishing Body Lotion*

My Verdict

Is it worth the hype? In my opinion, absolutely yes. This is set to rank among my favourites for body lotions this year. It’s easy to use, super effective and affordable.

Olay Regenerist Body Lotion UK FAQs

When can I buy this online in the UK?

It is at Boots UK online* now.

Is it available elsewhere (Superdrug, Amazon UK) yet?

Boots* is your go-to right now. After January, you will start to see the full range of Olay Body Lotions roll out at most other national retailers.

I have sensitive skin, is this safe?

While it doesn’t appear (in my test) to be irritating, if you have very sensitive skin it’s always best to patch test (e.g., inner forearm for 24 hours) before full-body application. Niacinamide is generally well tolerated.

Will this permanently “firm” my skin / reduce sagging?

Real talk: body lotions have limits. While I saw improved texture and softness, dramatic lift or sag reduction will depend on many factors (age, skin thickness, genetics, lifestyle). But for what it can do in texture, tone and feel, it delivers well.

Final Thoughts

If you’re on the lookout for a body lotion that feels more skincare than just body-care, and you’ve been waiting for something firming with niacinamide in the UK, this is it. My experience (and I tested it properly) says it lives up to the hype.

Don’t delay signing up for that alert because stock may be limited when the online drop hits. If you want freshness, texture improvement and a feel-good body-cream experience, give this one your attention.

Where to buy it

The Olay Regenerist Firming Body Lotion is available in Boots stores and online here now.

Absolute Collagen Crystal Clarity Marine Collagen Powder Supplement Review

If you’ve been on the hunt for a collagen supplement that actually delivers, chances are you’ve heard of Absolute Collagen. I’ve known about the brand for years, but it wasn’t until recently that I really got into a proper routine with the Absolute Collagen Crystal Clarity Marine Collagen Powder, and let me tell you, I am officially hooked. Here’s everything you need to know.

What is Absolute Collagen Crystal Clarity Marine Collagen Powder?

What is Absolute Collagen Crystal Clarity Marine Collagen Powder?
What is Absolute Collagen Crystal Clarity Marine Collagen Powder?

Absolute Collagen is one of the original collagen brands in the UK, and their Marine Collagen Powder is designed to help support skin hydration, elasticity, and hair health. The Crystal Clarity variant is tasteless, making it super versatile. You can mix it into water, smoothies, or even coffee.

Some highlights:

  • Clinically studied formula – Absolute Collagen is one of the few collagen brands backed by actual research
  • High-quality marine collagen peptides – Sourced from sustainable fish.
  • Easy to integrate into your routine – Mixes into hot or cold drinks.

Why I Trust Absolute Collagen

I recently had a very quick chat with Claire Coleman, a hugely respected investigative beauty journalist, about collagen supplements. Claire is usually skeptical about ingestible collagen, but she did say that Absolute Collagen is one of the few brands with solid clinical studies.

The brand has been around for years, and it’s always reassuring when a supplement has both a reputation and evidence to back it up.

How I Use It

I’m very committed to taking collagen daily because I notice real benefits for my skin and hair when I am consistent. My usual routine is:

I usually mix collagen into water with an effervescent vitamin C tablet, which works well. But since I’ve been using the Absolute Collagen supplement, I have been having it in coffee.

Surprisingly, it makes even instant coffee taste like a coffee shop brew. I have my first coffee with collagen, my second coffee without, and honestly the second one just doesn’t taste as good anymore!

Morning coffee: This is a game-changer. I attended a press day at PURE PR recently, where they were serving Collagen Coffee using this exact powder. It tasted amazing, so they sent me home with a 2-week supply, and now I’m hooked.

I put it in with the instant coffee (Nescafe Gold Blend!) then add the water and mix. Then I add milk. Simple!

My Results After a Month

I should be upfront. It’s hard to say exactly what the benefits are, because I’m very consistent with taking some type of collagen daily. I’ve used Vida Glow, Pura (various kinds), and Dose & Co over the years, so I’m not coming to this product as a true “first-time collagen tester.”

That said, what I can say is that I genuinely enjoy taking this powder. It’s easy to incorporate into my routine, tastes great in coffee, and makes sticking to a daily habit more enjoyable. On top of that, I do feel my skin is soft and smooth, and my hair looks healthier when I’m consistent, so it’s definitely holding its own among the other brands I’ve used.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Tasteless and easy to mix
  • Can be added to coffee for a better taste experience
  • Clinically studied and reputable brand
  • Supports skin, hair, and nail health

Cons:

  • You need to be consistent to see results

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Absolute Collagen really improve skin and hair?

Yes. Marine collagen peptides can support skin elasticity, hydration, and hair strength. Consistent daily use is key.

How do I take Absolute Collagen Powder?

You can mix it into water, juice, smoothies, or coffee. I personally love it in my morning coffee and it even enhances the taste!

Is it clinically backed?

Absolute Collagen is one of the few brands with peer-reviewed clinical studies supporting its effectiveness.

How long until I see results?

Is it safe?

Yes, marine collagen is generally safe for most people. However, check for allergies to fish if you have sensitivities.
