NATURIUM Niacinamide Cleansing Gelee Review

hihi everyone, I hope all is well. Naturium has been the talk of the skincare community, ever since the launch of their body washes. Today though, I want to talk about their face wash, in particular the niacinamide cleansing gelee.

I got this cleanser in the 2025 SpaceNK beauty advent calendar and I’m just about to finish it, I started using it in March. Btw, I cant wait for the 2026 beauty calendars line up!

Experience

This cleanser promises a lot and is packed with a lot of active ingredients: it has 3% niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate and a vitamin c derivative and promises to leave the skin feeling fresh, clean and balanced. It can also be used as a face mask! The texture is lovely, its jelly like consistency and produces a low lather, it rinses off well. There’s no fragrance and i had no irritation with it

Ive been using this cleanser for a while now, i started using it as a 2nd cleanser after removing makeup but lately, for the last month, I’ve also been using it as a makeup remover. As a makeup remover its ok, Im still getting used to using a face wash for this step but it is effective at removing makeup and mascara, even eyelash glue. its ok good as a face wash. I feel like with this cleanser i have to wash for longer in order to get a proper deep cleanse.

I’m slightly disappointed with the cleanser because I was hoping it would help with my pores and whiteheads around my nose area because of the addition of niaciamide but i didnt notice a difference here. the cleanser also tends to dry up and clog the pump ( see picture): kinda makes me feel icky lol. I didnt know it can be used as a face mask until i was prepping for this review. I managed to use it as such maybe twice before I finished but it snot enough to comment on its benefits as a face mask

verdict

bittersweet: its an ok cleanser: it removes makeup, it cleanses the face and doesnt dry out the skin but it also didnt blow me away. its huge, the full size is 210ml but it also comes in a travel size 59ml which is great to test out before spending £18.50 on it. I wouldnt buy this partially because I dont like spending more than £6 on a face wash lol( why its going down the drain! lol) but now that Ive used it, I also don’t like it that much it repurchase it. I wish it said on the packaging it can be used as a face mask because I literally didn’t find out till the last min lol

Naturium is becoming a hit and miss brand for me, I was so excited for it to finally be in the UK and I’ve tried a few of thier products but there’s only one item I keep repurchasing: the vitamin C serum. The (intentional) product junkie in me will always give them a chance ( with caution!) though!

Garnier Ideal Bronze Sun Cream Milk-In Spray SPF50 Review

hihi everyone, I hope all is well! Its been a tumultuous start to the summer (like always) but hopefully its smooth riding from now. i know summer is the time most people use sunscreen below the shoulders lool so today I’m reviewing one of my fav body SPFs.

There are SO many affordable sunscreen options in Boots and Superdrug! I feel like, this is one area the drugstore does really well. Over the last couple of years, the amount of sunscreens without any white cast on dark skin have almost double so you can be sure you will find a suitable one!

Garnier Ideal suncream milk in spray SPF 50 is a lightweight milk that feels amazing on the skin and smells GREAT. the scent is tropical, reminds me of coconuts and masks the sunscreen scent well. the scent lingers through the day. the sunscreen scent isnt as strong as some others Ive used in the past.

Is it invisible on the skin? YES- this sinks into the skin so quickly and easily and leaves 0 cast! I’ve noticed it leaves my skin looking bronzy and this is due to the vita-melanin formula. there’s no pigment in the SPF but it helps to get an even tan. I used this SPF when I was vacationing in Antigua back in April and 0 sun burn ( never been sun burnt and I am hoping to stay that way). It layers on well- there’s no sticky feeling and no heavy or greasy feel on the skin- this is particularly important when reapplying especially when its so hot! It rinses off well- i do have to wash twice to ensure it comes off which is a good thing! you don’t want SPF that easily comes off. I have it on in the pics and there isn’t a trace of cast anywhere!

Verdict

I wont lie I was very skeptical when I first recieved this from Garnier sometime last year or the year before but after that initial use, Ive repurchased twice and on my 3rd bottle now! this has become my fav body SPF and I have been recommending to everyone. it comes in SPF30 and 50 but I always stick to the latter. Its also availble in aerosol mist which I also have been using and will bring a review soon.

At the £7 price its so affordable and effective to not try! Its available from boots

catch you later! Make sure you are wearing your sunscreen

Camille Rose Curlaide Moisture Butter Review

hi hi everyone, I hope all is well.

I’ve recently finished a bunch of hair products and I’m slowing getting through all my reviews- there’s a lot more reviews coming so watch this space!

So the Camille Rose (CR) Curlaide moisture butter wasn’t actually on my list of products to try but I had finished my Keracare buttercream and the CR just happened to be on sale lol so I decided to get it instead of the As I am double cream which I was initially looking at. its funny because I’ve tried 3 other CR products and I wasn’t blown away by either of them….but a sale is a sale lool and it was cheaper than the As I am.

I’ve been using the butter a few times a week, maybe every few days to help moisturise my hair. I have fine 4c medium to high porosity hair that has recently been coloured. the butter can be used in a few ways for detangling, styling or as just to moisturise the hair and I’ve been using it solely for the later.

I really like this hair cream. For my fine hair it actually doesn’t feel weighed down or greasy with this. It can cause some reversion on blowdried hair depending on how much I use but I usually flat twist afterwards so its not a huge issue for me. it works really well to soften the hair too. it smells amazing, very similar to vanilla birthday cake. its a thick creamy butter, smooths onto the hair easily but just takes a bit more massaging to fully sink in. No issues with flakes. I’ve used it alone but I also like layering on a bit of hair oil afterwards.

Verdict

I was looking for a buttercream similar to the Keracare one that was easy to use during the week to keep my hair moisturized. I really like this, it leaves my hair soft and with lasting moisture and the scent is amazing. It lasts quite a bit too, I think I started using it sometime last year and I’ve only just finished it. I’m currently using the Keracare oil moisturiser and I will report back on that.

CR is available from superdrug, boots , asos or LF.

take care

Amika The Wizard Review

hi hi everyone, I hope all is well. Today I have another Amika product review and Im talking about the very popular the wizard silicone free detangling primer.

This is a lightweight primer that helps to detangle whilst offering heat protection up to 230 degrees.

Experience

I came across this last year on TT and decided to try it as at the time I was already using the hydrorush line and loved it. I use this on wash days only, before leave in conditioner for blow-drying. It comes out in a fine mist and doesn’t leave the hair sticky or weighed down when blowdried. I absolutely love the scent of this, it reminds me of the Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 body mist, its a lingering scent but it disappears after blowdrying. What I find weird though is that it kind off foams/ lathers up in the hair like when you don’t completely rinse out your shampoo and some of the lather is left behind lol. Again this goes away after blowdrying and it doesnt leave any flakes.

It pairs well with other products. I layer about 3 products when blowdrying: a blowdry primer/mist, leave in and a serum and I have had 0 issues with flakes or pilling and I usually very generous with this. I also haven’t experienced any heat damage since I’ve been using this. In terms of slip for detangling, I can detangle with it after washing but the slip it provides isn’t the same as a conditioner but it works just as well. I can get a wide comb and brush through my hair easily.

Verdict

I love this product. I’ve gone through 3 bottles in the last year and half: 1 full sized 1 mini size and a deluxe sample size that came in a gift set. I will definitely recommend for 4c natural hair. I have fine 4c medium to high porosity hair and its worked really well. I’m currently using the Amika frizz me not treatment and will be back for a review on that

did you know Boots sell Amika? you can get the wizard and lots more Amika products at Boots!

Amika HydroRush Shampoo & Mask Review

hi hi everyone, I hope all is well. 4c dry hair girlies, this one is for you! Today I’m talking about the very popular Amika Hydrorush line in particular the intense shampoo and mask.

Experience

I wanted to try the hydrorush line because my 4c hair is THIRSTY. I’ve been using the shampoo and mask for the last year and a bit now and I’ve been through 2 shampoos and I think 2 or 3 hair masks.

Intense Moisture Shampoo

The hydrorush shampoo is one of the best moisturising shampoos I’ve used. It works very well at gently cleansing my hair leaving it very soft and hydrated but also removes build up. It is slippery and lathers up really well! I can use this for finger detangling with ease. the scent? AMAZING. I haven’t come across an Amika product that doesn’t smell great tbh. The shampoo has hyaluronic acid and squalane both known for hydration.

Intense Moisture Mask

The perfect follow up to the hydrorush shampoo, the mask is thick, easy to apply and leaves the hair feeling so soft. I apply in sections, cover with a cap then use my hot head heating cap for deep conditioning. I usually leave on for 30 mins before rinsing away. Amika say the mask provides slip for detangling but I couldn’t detangle with it. I usually detangle my hair before I wash and under running water when I’m washing the mask out. Again the scent is amazing. I can feel the difference with this mask, my hair feels soft and moisturized and it usually lasts a few days before I have to use my hair butter. The mask is aimed for coarse hair but it worked for my fine hair and I didn’t think it weighed it down

Verdict

overall, I didn’t think these products would work for my 4c fine hair ( medium to high porosity) even after watching a lot of reviews. But I fell in love with them after 1st use and I have repurchased them a few times. I can actually feel the difference in my hair. I’m taking a break from these only because I want to try other products but I will come back to them

Amika have a lot of trial kits for their products and its a great way to test them before shelling out for the full sizes even though I do think they are worth. Try the Hydro Dream Hydration routine kit for £26 for a feel. It comes with the rinse out conditioner instead of the mask but I still think its a great trial kit.

Now that my hair is coloured, I have been washing my hair twice a week and I’m loving it so far. I have a lot of hair reviews coming so stay tuned! Stay safe!
