Tatcha The Longevity Memory Cream Review: The Most Beautiful Texture I’ve Tried This Year

There are some skincare launches that feel genuinely new, and Tatcha The Longevity Memory Cream is one of them. From the moment you touch the texture, you know this isn’t a standard moisturiser. It’s clever, sensorial and quietly luxurious, the kind of product that makes skin look so good and my makeup go on so beautifully.

If you’re shopping skincare at Sephora UK, this is one to put firmly on your radar. The Longevity Memory Cream is new to Sephora and exclusive* there until 2nd February, available both online and in store.

What Is Tatcha The Longevity Memory Cream?

What is Tatcha The Longevity Memory Cream?
What is Tatcha The Longevity Memory Cream?

This is Tatcha’s newest advanced moisturiser, designed to help support skin’s youthful look while delivering deep hydration and visible radiance. At the heart of the formula is Tatcha’s Okinawa Cellescence Complex, inspired by the nutrient-rich botanicals found on the Japanese island of Okinawa which has long associated with longevity and skin vitality.

It’s described as a memory-gel cream, meaning it has a bouncy, elastic texture that springs back when touched, while still delivering the comfort and nourishment of a rich cream.

Key Ingredients

This cream’s formula blends science and botanicals in a way that feels luxurious and purposeful. Here are the star ingredients and what they do for your skin:

  • Okinawa Cellescence Complex – signature Tatcha blend rich in nutrient-dense botanicals that help support skin’s elasticity, resilience and youthful lookover
  • Bio-Fermented Hyaluronic Acid – next-generation hydrating powerhouse, this form of hyaluronic acid is fermented to better absorb and draw moisture deep into the skin for a visibly plumped, smooth complexion
  • Nonapeptide-1 – multifunctional peptide that supports the skin’s barrier and overall appearance
  • Camellia Leaf Extract – rich in antioxidants and naturally balancing
  • Citrus Depressa Peel Extract – brightens and refreshes.
  • Guajava Leaf Extract – helps protect against environmental stressors.
  • Ceramide-supporting boosters – help fortify the skin’s natural barrier for long-lasting comfort
  • Glycerin & Betaine – attract moisture and support a smooth, supple texture

Texture & Feel: A Truly Unique Gel-Cream

This is where The Longevity Memory Cream really stands out. The texture is unlike anything else I’ve used recently.

It has an almost gloopy, gel-like consistency when you first scoop it out, yet as soon as you start to work it into the skin, it melts into something incredibly creamy and cocooning. It feels cushiony, comforting and deeply hydrating, but never greasy or heavy.

Once applied, skin looks immediately smoother, fresher and more supple, with a juicy, healthy glow rather than shine. It’s indulgent without being overbearing, which makes it surprisingly versatile.

It’s much easier to show this texture than describe it. Here’s a quick demo so you can see exactly what I mean.

What It Does for My Skin

While I’m always cautious around big anti-ageing promises, what I really notice with this cream is how plumped, healthy and well-rested my skin looks.

My complexion looks more elastic and bouncy, and there’s a subtle luminosity that makes skin look cared-for rather than shiny. It’s one of those moisturisers that quietly elevates your whole routine, everything just looks better when your skin is this well hydrated.

Under Makeup: A Brilliant Base

One of my favourite things about The Longevity Memory Cream is how beautifully it works under makeup.

Foundation glides on smoothly, sits evenly and looks fresher for longer. It doesn’t cause slipping or pilling, and it helps prevent makeup from clinging anywhere. It makes my skin look smoother, more refined and naturally radiant.

How I Use It

I have been using The Longevity Memory Cream both morning and night, and I am finding it particularly excellent for dealing with winter skin.

Using the little gold spoon, I take a small amount and then warm it between my fingers before pressing and massaging it into my face, neck and décolletage using upward strokes.

Evening: I use it as my final step to lock everything in and give skin that nourished, rested look by morning.

Morning: I apply it after serum and before SPF. It creates the perfect hydrated base for makeup.

Who Is It Best For?

This is a lovely option if:

  • Your skin is feeling dehydrated, flat or less bouncy than it used to
  • You want a moisturiser that delivers glow without oiliness
  • You love rich creams but dislike heavy or greasy textures
  • You want skincare that visibly improves how your makeup looks

It works particularly well for normal, dry and combination skin types, but anyone craving hydration and radiance will appreciate it.

Sephora Exclusive & What to Pair It With

If you’re shopping at Sephora UK, The Longevity Memory Cream is exclusive there until 2nd February, making it a great time to discover it.

Tatcha The Dewy Milk Moisturizer

If you want a moisturiser in a different format do pair with it for day, you might also love Tatcha The Dewy Milk Moisturizer.

Tatcha The Dewy Milk Moisturizer Texture

It’s lighter in texture, incredibly balancing and brilliant under makeup, especially if your skin leans combination or oily but still craves glow.

The two work beautifully together depending on your skin’s needs or time of day.

FAQs

Is Tatcha The Longevity Memory Cream worth it?

If you value texture, hydration and visible skin quality, it’s a genuinely impressive moisturiser that feels luxurious and performs beautifully.

Is it good under makeup?

Yes. It’s one of those creams that actually improves how makeup applies and wears.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The formula is gentle and well-balanced, but as always, patch testing is sensible if your skin is reactive.

Final Thoughts

The Tatcha Longevity Memory Cream feels like a grown-up, sophisticated moisturiser that quietly delivers results. The texture is a joy to use, the formula feels nourishing without heaviness, and the effect on skin is genuinely noticeable.

If you’re looking for a moisturiser that makes skin look plumped, healthy and effortlessly radiant, this is a beautiful addition to your routine.

Winter Skincare Routine: My Day & Night Cold Weather Skincare for Dry, Sensitive Skin

Winter can be tough on skin. Cold temperatures, wind, indoor heating and lower humidity levels can all lead to dry, tight, dehydrated and reactive skin. Over the years, I’ve refined a simple but effective winter skincare routine that supports the skin barrier, boosts hydration and keeps my skin comfortable all day and night.

This post breaks down my daytime and nighttime winter skincare routines, using gentle, nourishing products that work especially well if your skin is dry, sensitive or prone to dehydration.

Daytime Winter Skincare Routine (Cold Weather AM Routine)

In winter, my daytime skincare routine focuses on hydration, barrier protection and comfort under makeup. I avoid anything stripping or overly active and prioritise layers that keep skin calm throughout the day.

1. Gentle Cleanser (AM)

Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Cleansers
Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Cleansers

I start with a gentle, non-foaming cleanser. In cold weather, over-cleansing can worsen dehydration and sensitivity.

Look for:

  • Light cleansing waters
  • Cream or lotion cleansers
  • No strong surfactants
  • Fragrance-free or very low fragrance

My recommendations

  • Dr Sam’s Flawless Cleansing Water* – Effective super-light cleanser that doesn’t strip the skin
  • SISLEY PARIS | Lyslait Cleansing Milk*- Rich yet light. A really effective cleanser that leaves so smooth and hydrated

2. Hydrating Toner or Essence

Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Toner

This step adds an immediate hit of hydration and helps prep the skin for serums.

Key ingredients to look for:

  • Glycerin
  • Hyaluronic acid
  • Panthenol
  • Aloe vera

My Recommendation

  • Shiseido Treatment Softener Enriched*

3. Hydrating Serum

Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Serum
Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Serum

A hydrating serum is essential in winter. I favour lightweight, water-based formulas that deeply hydrate without feeling heavy under moisturiser or makeup.

Best winter serum ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic acid
  • Polyglutamic acid
  • Beta-glucan
  • Niacinamide (low percentage)

My recommendation

  • ESTÉE LAUDER | Advanced Night Repair Serum Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex* – Gentle and great for all skin types. Deeply hydrating and a skincare classic.

4. Barrier-Repair Moisturiser

Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Moisturisers
Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Moisturisers

In cold weather, moisturiser becomes the most important step. I choose a barrier-supporting moisturiser that locks in hydration and protects against environmental stress, but isn’t too heavy

Look for:

  • Ceramides
  • Squalane
  • Shea butter

My Recommendations:

  • MEDIK8 | Advanced Pro-Collagen+ Peptide Cream* – Perfect texture for both day and night. Promotes bouncy firm skin.
  • TATCHA | The Dewy Skin Cream* – Super nourishing and the perfect base for glowing makeup.

5. SPF (Yes, Even in Winter)

Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time SPF
Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time SPF

A broad-spectrum SPF is still essential in winter, especially for everyday protection and preventing sensitivity flare-ups.

My Recommendations

  • Ranavat Brightening Mineral Sunscreen* – High protection and gives the skin an amazing glow.
  • THE ORDINARY | UV Filters SPF 45 Serum* – Easy to blend, super hydrating and moisturing, and gives the skin a gorgeous glow.

Hydrating Primer for Makeup

Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Primer
Winter Skincare Routine: Day Time Primer

As an extra step, I like to use a glowy, hydrating primer under foundation, particularly if I am using a matte formula. My current favourite trick is to apply a light layer of the Balm from the REESON Highlighter Duo* before starting my makeup.

At night, my winter skincare routine is all about repair, nourishment and recovery. This is when I allow myself slightly richer textures and more comforting formulas.

1. Gentle Cleanse (PM)

Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Cleansers
Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Cleansers

In the evening, I cleanse properly to remove makeup, SPF and daily impurities.

  • First cleanse: balm or oil cleanser
  • Second cleanse: gentle cream cleanser

Avoid foaming cleansers if your skin feels dry or reactive.

My Recommendations

  • TATCHA | The Camellia Cleansing Oil* – a beautiful oil that is super effective at removing makeup and breaking down excess oil in the skin, whilst maintaining the skin’s natural moisture and helping to increase hydration.
  • MEDIK8 | Lipid-Balance Cleansing Oil* – Melts everything off whilst maintaining and boosting the skin barrier.

2. Hydrating Toner or Essence

Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Toners

I repeat my hydrating toner step at night to replenish moisture lost throughout the day.

My Recommendations

  • TATCHA | The Essence Skincare Boosting Treatment* – A super hydration booster and suitable for sensitive skin
  • SISLEY PARIS | Supremÿa La Lotion* – Super hydrating and makes your entire skincare routine work better. You will notice a difference.
  • THAYERS | Hydrating Milky Toner* – Good affordable hydrator

3. Soothing or Hydrating Serum

Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Serums
Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Serums

At night, I choose soothing, barrier-repair serums rather than strong actives.

Great winter night serum ingredients:

  • Ceramides
  • Peptides
  • Centella asiatica
  • Panthenol

My Recommendations

  • KEATS The Hydrating Serum* – A triple weight HA serum with snow mushroom. Effective and affordable.
  • INNBEAUTY PROJECT | Elastic Skin Firming & Plumping Refillable Serum* – Instantly plumping and firming with the most amazing texture
  • SHISEIDO | Future Solution Lx Intensive Firming Brilliance Serum*

4. Rich Night Cream or Moisturiser

Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Moisturisers

A richer night cream helps support skin repair while you sleep.

Ideal winter night moisturiser ingredients:

  • Ceramides
  • Shea butter
  • Fatty acids
  • Squalane

My Recommendations

  • La Mer Crème de La Mer Moisturizing Cream* – I can always rely on this to soothe and calm
  • THE ORDINARY | Natural Moisturizing Factors + PhytoCeramides Moisturizer* – Rich and luxurious. Wraps skin in cocooning hydration

5. Facial Oil or Overnight Mask

Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Mask /Oil
Winter Skincare Routine: Night Time Mask /Oil

On very cold nights or when my skin feels tight and reactive, I add:

  • A few drops of facial oil, or
  • An overnight hydrating mask

This step helps prevent moisture loss overnight and leaves skin feeling calm and comfortable by morning.

My Recommendations

  • SISLEY PARIS | Black Rose Precious Face Oil* – The finest, lightest, yet super hydrating oil.
  • FARMACY | Honey Grail Facial Oil* – Soothing, calming and super hydrating
  • ESTÉE LAUDER | Advanced Night Repair Overnight Treatment* – This effectively locks in all your skincare so you wake up with juicy skin.

Key Tips for Winter Skincare

  • Protect the skin barrier above all else
  • Avoid over-exfoliating in cold weather
  • Use lukewarm water, not hot
  • Layer hydration rather than relying on one heavy product

Final Thoughts

A good winter skincare routine doesn’t need to be complicated. By focusing on hydration, barrier repair and gentle formulas, you can keep skin comfortable, glowing and resilient throughout the colder months.

If your skin feels dry, tight or reactive in winter, simplifying your routine and switching to more nourishing textures can make all the difference.

Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive

*Links marked with asterisks are affiliate links, these help Ree with running costs of the blog

When my skin starts to feel tight, uncomfortable or suddenly reactive, I know it’s time to change things up. This usually happens in winter, when cold weather, central heating and general life stress all start to show up on my skin at once.

Over the years, I’ve learned that this isn’t the moment to push through with actives or try something new “just to see how it goes”. Instead, I pull things right back and focus on calming, hydrating and supporting my skin barrier.

This is the skincare routine I use when my skin feels tight, dry or reactive, along with the makeup choices that help everything look and feel more comfortable while my skin settles.

What I Mean by Tight or Reactive Skin

For me, tight or reactive skin isn’t necessarily a full-on reaction or breakout. It’s more subtle than that. Signs include:

  • Skin feeling tight straight after cleansing
  • A warm or slightly stingy sensation when applying products
  • Makeup sitting badly or clinging to dry patches
  • Skin just feeling “off”, uncomfortable or fragile

When this happens, I know my skin barrier needs some attention.

What I Stop Using Immediately

The first thing I do is simplify. No matter how much I love certain products, I put them on pause until my skin has settled.

I stop using:

  • Acids and exfoliating toners
  • Retinoids
  • Strong vitamin C formulas
  • Scrubs or cleansing devices

At this stage, calming and comfort come first. Treating and correcting can wait.

A Gentle Cleanser Is Non-Negotiable

Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive - Cleansers
Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive – Cleansers

When my skin is reactive, cleansing needs to be as gentle as possible.Cleansing Balms and Cleansing Oils are my preferred first cleanse to break down makeup and SPF, and then I stick to a non-foaming or very low-foam cleanser that doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped.

Go-to gentle cleansers I trust:

  • Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil*
  • Medik8 Cleansing Oil*
  • Gatineau Collagene Expert Melting Cleansing Balm* (NEW 2026 launch – so far only available in a QVC kit, but launching soon)
  • The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser*
  • Dr Sam’s Flawless Cleanser*

The aim is clean, comfortable skin that doesn’t feel tight the second I step away from the sink.

Hydration Comes Before Treatment

Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive - Serums
Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive – Serums

This is where my routine really starts to make a difference. When skin feels tight or reactive, hydration is far more important than actives.

I usually add:

  • A hydrating essence or toner
  • A simple hyaluronic acid or glycerin-based serum

These layers help relieve that tight feeling straight away and prepare my skin for moisturiser.

Hydrating products I reach for:

  • Tatcha The Essence*
  • Thayers Milky Toner*

I apply these on slightly damp skin and take a moment to gently press them in rather than rushing.

Best Hydration Serums:

  • Keats Hydrating Serum*
  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum*
  • Naturium Barrier Bounce Advanced Skin Hydrator*

Barrier-Repair Moisturisers I Rely On

Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive - Moisturiser
Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive – Moisturiser

A good barrier-supporting moisturiser is absolutely key when skin is feeling dry or reactive. I look for formulas that focus on ceramides, lipids and soothing ingredients rather than fragrance or actives.

These are the moisturisers I trust most when my skin needs comfort:

  • La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream*
  • The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + PhytoCeramides Moisturiser*

I don’t overload my skin, but I do make sure everything feels sealed in properly.

Face Oils and Extras (Only If Needed)

Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive - Face Oil
Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive – Face Oil

I don’t always use a face oil, but when my skin feels especially dry or tight, I’ll add one in.

I either:

  • Press a drop or two on top of moisturiser at night
  • Or mix a tiny amount into my cream

Face oils I use when needed:

  • Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil*
  • La Mer The Renewal Oil*
  • Farmacy Honey Grail Hydrating Face Oil*

This step is optional, but it can make a big difference when skin feels uncomfortable or rough.

My Go-To LED Mask for Calm, Comfortable Skin

Best Electrical Beauty Tools & Gadgets - Theraface LED Mask
Best Electrical Beauty Tools & Gadgets – Theraface LED Mask

When my skin feels tight or reactive, I like to give it a little extra support with an LED mask.

How I use it:

  • 12 minutes per session, 4-5 times a week
  • Followed immediately by my hydrating serum and moisturiser
  • Only on clean, calm skin

My current favourite:

THERABODY Theraface Mask Glo* – gentle, soothing, easy to fit into a routine, plus it gives you a head massage!

I like that this step feels like self-care without overcomplicating my routine. It’s not magic, but it does help my skin look and feel more comfortable.

How Long I Stick With This Routine

I usually follow this simplified, soothing routine for around a week, sometimes a little longer. The key sign that my skin is improving is when:

  • Tightness disappears
  • Products no longer sting
  • Makeup applies more smoothly

Only then do I slowly reintroduce actives.

Makeup When My Skin Feels Tight or Reactive

When my skin feels tight or reactive, makeup can either make things worse or actually help everything look and feel more comfortable. The key for me is choosing formulas that are hydrating, flexible and forgiving.

I tend to avoid anything too matte, long-wearing or powder-heavy during this phase, as those formulas can cling to dry patches and emphasise texture.

Base Makeup

Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive - Foundation
Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive – Foundation

I look for lightweight, hydrating base products that even out my skin without masking it.

Go-to base products:

  • Shiseido Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation SPF 30* – review here
  • Victoria Beckham The Foundation Drops* – review here

I apply base makeup sparingly, pressing rather than dragging.

Cream Products Over Powder

Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive - REESON Makeup
Skincare Products I Use When My Skin Feels Tight, Dry or Reactive – REESON Makeup

When skin feels tight, cream formulas are much more forgiving than powders.

I reach for:

  • Cream blush
  • Cream bronzer
  • Cream highlighter

Favourite cream products (all from my own brand):

  • REESON Bronzing Balm*
  • REESON Highlighter Duo*
  • REESON Blush

These add life back into the skin without emphasising dryness.

Final Thoughts

When my skin feels tight, dry or reactive, everything comes back to comfort. Pulling back on actives, focusing on hydration and barrier repair, and choosing forgiving makeup formulas makes a huge difference to how my skin looks and feels.

This isn’t about having a perfect routine or using lots of products. It’s about listening to your skin, simplifying when you need to, and giving it time to recover.

When skin feels tight, dry or reactive, less really is more. I’ve learned that listening to my skin and focusing on comfort first helps everything recover much more quickly in the long run.

This isn’t about perfection or having a complicated routine. It’s simply about giving your skin what it needs when it’s feeling fragile.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my skin barrier is damaged?

If your skin feels tight after cleansing, stings when applying products, looks dull or reacts to things it usually tolerates, it’s often a sign that your skin barrier needs some support.

Should I stop using actives when my skin feels reactive?

Yes. When my skin feels reactive, I always pause actives like retinoids, acids and strong vitamin C. Focusing on hydration and barrier repair first helps my skin recover much more quickly.

Can I still wear makeup if my skin feels tight or reactive?

You can, but preparation is key. I keep skincare simple and hydrating, and avoid matte or long-wear formulas until my skin feels comfortable again.

How long does it take for reactive skin to calm down?

For me, it usually takes around a week of a simplified, soothing routine. The key is not rushing back into actives too quickly.

Is tight skin the same as dry skin?

Not always. Tight skin can be a sign of dehydration or barrier disruption rather than a lack of oil. That’s why hydration and barrier support are so important.

Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches Review

Eye patches are one of those skincare products I’ve tried in every possible iteration over the years – from quick-fix high street options to very expensive spa-grade treatments. It takes a lot for a pair to truly impress me. That said, the Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches have firmly earned their place in my routine.

I’ve been a long-time admirer of Marie Reynolds London as a brand. I genuinely trust Marie’s approach to skincare and, hand on heart, I’ve never tried a product from her that I didn’t love. These patches feel very on-brand: considered, effective and designed to support the skin rather than overwhelm it.

What Are Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches?

What are Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches?
What are Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches?

The Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches are biocellulose under-eye patches designed to deliver an intensive hydration boost to the delicate eye area. They are formulated to sit closely against the skin, allowing the ingredients to be delivered efficiently and comfortably.

Biocellulose is key here. It moulds beautifully to the contours under the eyes, ensuring even coverage and preventing slipping during wear.

Key Ingredients & Benefits

The formulation behind the Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches focuses on hydration, comfort and visible revitalisation.

Key benefits include:

  • Hyaluronic Acid to deeply hydrate and help plump dehydration lines
  • Icelandic Moss, known for its soothing and revitalising properties
  • Biocellulose Technology helps ingredients absorb effectively by adhering closely to the skin

Together, these ingredients work to leave the under-eye area looking smoother, fresher and more rested.

How to Use Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches

Using the Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches is simple and fuss-free:

  1. Apply to clean, dry skin under the eyes
  2. Smooth gently into place
  3. Leave on for 10–15 minutes
  4. Remove and lightly pat in any remaining serum

They work beautifully as a morning skin-prep step before makeup, or in the evening when your eyes need a little extra care.

My Experience & Results

My Review of Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches
My Review of Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches

What I appreciate most about the Marie Reynolds London Eye-Drate Patches is how consistently comfortable and effective they are. They feel instantly soothing on application, never irritating, and sit beautifully under the eyes without slipping.

One thing that really sets these apart is the amount of serum inside each sachet. There is genuinely so much product that it feels almost wasteful not to use it elsewhere. Once I’ve applied the patches, I always smooth the excess serum over my face, neck, décolleté and chest, where it absorbs effortlessly and leaves the skin feeling deeply hydrated and plumped. It’s a lovely added benefit and makes the treatment feel even more luxurious and generous.

As someone who has tested countless eye products over the years, I can say these feel thoughtfully formulated rather than trend-led. That’s something I’ve come to expect from Marie Reynolds London.

La Mer The Lip Treatment Review: Is It Worth the Splurge?

If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ll know I love a luxury lip moment, and few brands do luxury quite like La Mer. Their skincare has had icon status for years, and their lip balm ranks in my all time favourites. So today I’m giving you the full lowdown on the new La Mer The Lip Treatment: what it does, how it feels, whether it actually works, and if it justifies its rather fancy price tag.

What Is La Mer The Lip Treatment?

La Mer The Lip Treatment - Bare & Honey
La Mer The Lip Treatment – Bare & Honey

La Mer describes this as a soothing, conditioning lip serum-balm hybrid designed to soften lines, strengthen the lip barrier, and leave everything smoother, plumper, and more resilient over time.

It comes in a chic yet chunky silver tube that’s perfect to whip out of your handbag. Very La Mer.

The magic, as always, comes from their signature ingredients:

  • Miracle Broth™ – their famous fermented sea kelp elixir for healing and renewal
  • Lime Tea Concentrate – antioxidant protection
  • Nourishing emollients – to deeply moisturise and smooth
  • Barrier-supporting ferments – to help strengthen over time

How to use it

Apply directly onto lips as needed throughout the day. You can layer under The Lip Volumizer and it may also be worn as a primer before applying your favourite lip colour.

My Review

La Mer The Lip Treatment packaging
La Mer The Lip Treatment packaging

Here’s the honest truth: my lips are already in pretty great condition because I use my own REESON Glossing Balm* every single day. So I can’t really say how this performs on seriously dry or chapped lips. That said, I trust La Mer. Their original lip balm in the pot has been a staple of mine for years and is my absolute favourite classic-style lip balm. Check out my Best Lip Balms for Dry Lips for 2025 for more favourites.

And just to be clear, yes, I am shamelessly promoting my own brand here, but if you can’t quite stretch to the La Mer price tag, you should definitely try a REESON Glossing Balm*. They give a more glossy, high-shine makeup effect, while still delivering serious lip treatment benefits. Win-win.

Texture & Application

La Mer The Lip Treatment - Honey
La Mer The Lip Treatment – Honey

The formula is beautifully rich without being sticky. It is silky, balmy, and immediately comforting with that soft minty buzz that’s synonymous with the original La Mer lip balm. It smooths across the lips in a single sweep and gives that soft-focus sheen that makes lips look instantly healthier.

Results

Even though my lips were already in good condition, I still noticed:

  • Lips felt hydrated and soft for hours
  • Texture looked smoother
  • My lipstick applied more evenly

It’s worth noting that if your lips were in need of serious repair, this treatment would likely deliver even more noticeable results. I’ve got full faith in it because, again, La Mer is a brand that knows lip care.

The Shades & Swatches

La Mer The Lip Treatment Shades
La Mer The Lip Treatment Shades

The Lip Treatment is mostly about care, but La Mer also offers a few subtle tinted versions to give a hint of colour.

La Mer The Lip Treatment Shades

The shade Honey is a soft golden-beige with a natural luminous glow. Perfect for a barely-there wash of colour, but the untinted version is just as lovely if you want pure treatment with no shimmer or tint.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Deep hydration with long-term benefits
  • Elegant, buildable colour if you want a tint
  • Luxurious texture & feel
  • Multi-purpose: balm, treatment, and primer all in one
  • Beautiful packaging

Cons

  • Premium price (£65)

My Final Verdict

If you’re looking for a lip treatment that genuinely improves the condition of your lips, La Mer The Lip Treatment is a dream. It’s a luxury indulgence, but one that delivers on hydration, smoothness, and barrier support.

Even though my lips didn’t need rescuing, I can confidently say this works.
