What are Anua Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pads?
The Anua Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pads are pre-soaked treatment pads designed to target dullness, uneven skin tone and dark spots. They sit somewhere between a toner pad and a sheet mask. You apply them directly onto the skin, leave them on for around 20 minutes, and let the ingredients get to work.
They’re perfect if you want visible results without adding complicated steps into your routine.

First Impressions
The first thing I noticed about these pads is just how wet they are. They are absolutely drenched in serum, not just lightly soaked, and it makes such a difference to the overall experience.
Texture & Fit
Anua Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pads Review
The pads are soft, flexible and sit really well on the skin.
They stay in place easily
They don’t slide around
You can genuinely forget you’re wearing them
Which, for me, is exactly what you want from this kind of treatment.
The 20-Minute Treatment
This is where the Anua Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pads really stand out. They stay wet for the entire 20-minute treatment time. No drying out, no peeling off, just continuous hydration.
They feel really cooling, refreshing and instantly plumping and it’s such a lovely, low-effort way to give your skin a boost.
My Favourite Way to Use Them
One of the best things about them is what happens after the 20 minutes. They are still soaked enough to swipe across the entire face and spread all the leftover serum to add an extra layer of hydration.
It honestly feels like you’re getting more product, which makes them even better value.

How to Use Anua Niacinamide 5 TXA Brightening Pads

Comments Off on haruharu wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier 2% NAD+ Serum Mist Review

Priced at
I’ve always had a soft spot for a facial mist, but I’m increasingly drawn to formulas that offer more than a fleeting moment of hydration. This is where the haruharu wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier 2% NAD+ Serum Mist feels particularly relevant. It is positioned as a mist, but very much behaves like a treatment.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Who are haruharu wonder?
haruharu wonder is a South Korean skincare brand known for its gentle, barrier-focused formulas and modern approach to “slow beauty”.
The name haruharu translates to “day by day” in Korean, reflecting the brand’s philosophy of consistent, everyday skincare rather than quick fixes.
Founded in Seoul, the brand has grown rapidly in recent years and is now available in over 150 countries, gaining a reputation for accessible, results-driven K-beauty.
At the heart of the range is a focus on:
Skin barrier health and long-term resilience
Fermented ingredients, particularly their signature black rice extract
Vegan-friendly formulations using plant-powered actives
Fragrance-free, sensitive-skin-friendly products
The brand is particularly known for its proprietary black rice fermentation process, designed to enhance antioxidant levels and improve ingredient absorption while remaining gentle on the skin.
What is haruharu wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier 2% NAD+ Serum Mist?
What is haruharu wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier 2% NAD+ Serum Mist?
This is a bi-phase serum mist designed to hydrate, strengthen the skin barrier, and support overall skin resilience.
At the centre of the formula is 2% NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) which is a coenzyme naturally present in the body that plays a role in cellular repair and energy production, and notably declines as we age.
Alongside this, you’ll find:
A multi-ceramide complex to reinforce the skin barrier
Probiotic ferments (including Galactomyces and Bifida) to support repair and balance
Black rice extract for antioxidant protection
Squalane and panthenol to soften and maintain hydration
It’s also fragrance-free, which will appeal to anyone with more sensitive or reactive skin.
Texture & Application
This is a bi-phase formula, so it needs a quick shake before use. Once mixed, it dispenses as a super fine, lightly milky mist.
On the skin, it feels:
Light yet conditioning
Hydrating without being wet or heavy
Comfortable, with no stickiness
It leaves a soft, healthy-looking finish on the skin.
haruharu wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier 2% NAD+ Serum Mist – super fine delivery system
Now as I already said, I love a mist and with this one, from first use, there is an immediate sense of comfort and hydration. The delivery is super fine, which I always love, and it puffs out soft clouds of hydration, making it perfect for over makeup. It makes my skin feels softer and immediately less tight, as soon I use it. especially if it has been exposed to actives or environmental stress.
It gives my skin a gorgeous dewy look, but not greasy, and I love to use it post cleansing to boost absorption and performance of my other skin care products. Plus, it’s also great over makeup to melt everything into the skin, and perfect to boost hydration and refresh the skin throughout the day.
This is the first time I’ve really used anything from the haruharu wonder brand, however, it has made me very keen to try more.
Key Ingredients
The formula strikes a considered balance between advanced and barrier-focused ingredients:
NAD+ for cellular led
Ceramides provide essential barrier reinforcement
Ferments support skin resilience and overall condition
Black rice extract offers antioxidant protection
It feels thoughtfully formulated, with a clear focus on long-term skin health.
Who is it best for?
This is particularly well suited to:
Dehydrated or sensitive skin
Skin that has been over-exposed to actives
Anyone focused on barrier repair and maintenance
How to Use
After cleansing, before serums
Between skincare steps for added hydration
Throughout the day as a replenishing mist
Lightly over makeup for a subtle refresh
Final Thoughts
This is a quietly impressive product that prioritises skin health over quick results. For anyone looking to support their skin barrier in a consistent and low-effort way, this is a very worthwhile addition.

Comments Off on Best Eye Creams for 2026 – Lines, Puffiness, Dark Circles
*Links marked with asterisks are affiliate links, these help Ree with running costs of the blog
The eye area is one of my main concerns when it comes to ageing, so I am a big believer in using a separate and targeted product on that skin. Here are my favourite picks of the best Eye Creams and Serums for 2026.
Do You Need to use an Eye Cream?
As I said at the top, I am a big believer in using eye creams, especially because the skin in the eye area is a lot finer than the rest of the face. This will be more important if you have mature skin like mine, and if you suffer with dark circles, lines or puffiness, an eye cream is probably just what you need.
As the eye area is more delicate than face skin, it can be sensitive to some stronger or more active ingredients that appear in face creams, so you may want to keep them at a safe distance. However, it is crucial to keep the eye area moisturised to prevent dryness, so having a dedicated eye product can be very handy.
For me, the key to keeping my eye area looking its best is hydration, so eye creams and serums with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid are brilliant. Younger skins will benefit from a simple hydrating formula, whereas if you are looking to tackle issues like lines and wrinkles, you may need extra actives like retinol.
For puffiness, ingredients like caffeine are great so help smooth and tighten the eye area. If you suffer with dark circles, Vitamin C in the eye cream formula could be really helpful.
Keep reading to discover lots of eye cream recommendations for a range of different concerns.

When to Use Eye Cream in Your Skincare Routine
I think this is down to preference and you can choose when to use eye cream whether day, night or both. I think that consistence use, twice daily will retunr the best results.
I tend to cleanse, tone, and do serum. Next I apply eye cream, before my moisturiser and SPF. However, I think it is best to choose a routine that works for you , as consistency is key.
I also like to use a light eye cream during the day before topping up my concealer. If the eye area is hydrated, makeup will sit on top more easily.
Best Hybrid Makeup & Skincare Eye Cream
I had to include this new section in the roundup because last year a created my very first-of-its-kind makeup and skincare hybrid eye product called Lid Elixir!

Is it necessary to use eye cream?
I think using eye cream is beneficial especially because the skin in the eye area is a lot finer than the rest of the face. This will be more important if you have mature skin like and if you suffer with dark circles, lines or puffiness.
When should you apply eye cream?
I like to apply an eye cream both day and night.
How much eye cream should you use?
You only need a small amount of eye cream compared to moisturiser as you are only treating a small area. If you use too much product, you could find that it can actually exacerbate any issues. Less is more.
If you suffer with dry skin around the eyes, you will also need to make sure that you are using the right moisturiser for you skin type. Check out my Best Moisturisers 2026 guide for the best Moisturisers for dry skin.
Also, if you do you have eyes prone to dryness, it’s likely that the skin on your lips with suffer in the same way. To choose the right lip balm for you, have a ready of my Best Lip Balms to find a solution for dry lips.

Having a good moisturiser that suits your skin is key when it comes to protecting and strengthening the all important skin barrier. Here’s my list of the best moisturisers for 2026 for all skin types and budgets.
Do you need a moisturiser?
A good moisturiser that suits your skin with help to prevent hydration loss and the associated potential inflammation, both of which compromise the skin barrier.
It is important to look after the moisture barrier because when it is weakened, it is less able to protect itself from environmental aggressors, stress, and the natural ageing process.
Your serums can provide targeted and concentrated treatment to the skin to work on specific concerns, (see Best Serums post), however, you also need a moisturiser to strengthen the skin and lock in surface hydration.

Best Moisturisers for 2026 – La Mer Creme de La Mer
If my skin is feeling dry, tight, or irritated, this is the cream I reach for. It is extremely thick and because of this, you only need the smallest amount. There’s a trick to getting the best out of it. You need to really warm it up between your fingers to allow the cream to transform and release all the soothing, healing ingredients.
After it is warmed up, you feel the texture loosen up between your fingers and then it glides over the skin, leaving a juicy and calm-looking complexion. I love it.

I have tested a lot of skincare over the years, and I am not easily impressed. After five weeks of consistently using The Elevator by Trinny London, I can honestly say this has been one of the most impressive targeted treatments I’ve tried for the neck and chest area.
This is my full, in-depth review of The Elevator, including ingredients, technology, clinical data and my personal before & after results at almost 52.
I will be including a 5-week before and after image so you can see the visible progress.
What Is The Elevator by Trinny London?
What is The Elevator by Trinny London?
The Elevator is described as a gravity-defying neck and décolleté concentrate designed to lift, firm, smooth and visibly even out the skin below the jawline.
The skin on the neck ages differently and often faster than the face. It’s thinner, has fewer oil glands and is constantly working against gravity.
The Elevator by Trinny London is designed to:
Help lift sagging skin
Improve firmness and elasticity
Smooth fine lines and crepey texture
Fade visible age spots and sun damage
Redefine the look of the neck and chest
It’s also Trinny London’s bestseller, with one sold every 30 seconds.
Why the Neck Needs a Specialist Formula
The appearance of the skin on my neck has been bothering me for probably the last five years. It started with a bit more softness and looseness under the chin and I have kept noticing it more and more in photos and on camera.
I’ll be 52 this year, and while I feel completely comfortable in my skin, the neck is the one area that has genuinely made me feel my age more than any other part of my body.
Studies show that 80% of women believe their neck gives away their age. I understand that statistic completely.
Structurally, it makes sense:
Collagen declines (we lose around 1% per year after our 20s)
Dermal fibres become disorganised
The connection between skin layers weakens
Pigmentation becomes more visible
Skin becomes thinner and less elastic
For me, the biggest issue hasn’t actually been lines. It’s been elasticity. That “snap back” just hasn’t been what it once was.
The Technology Behind The Elevator by Trinny London
Key to the The Elevator by Trinny London is its combination of cohesion technology, supercharged peptides and encapsulated alpha arbutin. The formula is built around structural support.
Cohesion Technology
One of the most interesting elements of The Elevator by Trinny London is its innovative cohesion technology.
This works to strengthen the bond between the epidermis and dermis, essentially reinforcing the structural “glue” that holds skin layers together. As that connection weakens with age, sagging becomes more visible.
At nearly 52, this is exactly the kind of support my skin needs. Not a quick surface plump, but reinforcement.
By restoring cohesion between these layers, the skin appears more lifted and better supported against gravity.
Supercharged Peptides
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as messengers, signalling the skin to produce more collagen and elastin.
In The Elevator by Trinny London, the peptide blend works to:
Rebuild skin scaffolding
Boost collagen production
Improve firmness
Smooth crepey texture
Support long-term elasticity
As someone who has noticed that gradual softening over the past five years, this restructuring element is what really appealed to me.
Encapsulated Alpha Arbutin
Pigmentation on the neck and chest can be stubborn. Alpha arbutin slows melanin production, helping to prevent and visibly fade dark spots. The encapsulation technology used in The Elevator by Trinny London allows for deeper, more precise delivery.

The Elevator by Trinny London Texture
Texture & Application
The Elevator by Trinny London has a rich, balmy texture that feels nourishing but not heavy.
100% silicone-free
Comforting but not greasy
Absorbs without residue
Subtle signature Trinny London scent
I apply it morning and evening, massaging upwards. It feels instantly smoothing, but the real difference comes with consistent use.

What I Saw Change
After five weeks of twice-daily use, here’s what I noticed:
1. Increased Elasticity
This has been the most impressive difference.
When I gently press the skin on my neck now, it bounces back faster. There is noticeably more resilience and springiness.
Over the last few years, I began noticing that lag in movement. After five weeks, that delay has reduced. The skin feels more responsive and supported.
2. Smoother Texture & Reduced Crepiness
The crepey quality has improved and fine lines look softer.
In an 8-week consumer study of 116 volunteers:
96% agreed skin looked smoother
88% agreed skin felt firmer and more elastic
87% agreed skin looked visibly lifted and tighter
93% agreed skin texture looked more refined
89% agreed neck lines were softened and crepey skin improved
82% felt more confident showing their neck and décolleté
After five weeks, I completely understand those statistics.
Who Is The Elevator by Trinny London For?
The Elevator by Trinny London is recommended for anyone 35+ who wants to proactively care for their neck and chest.
If you’re noticing:
Sagging
Loss of elasticity
Crepey texture
Age spots
Reduced firmness
Or, like me, you’ve quietly been worrying about your neck for the last few years, this is worth considering. I kind of wish I had started using it before I really started to see the issues.
It is suitable for sensitive skin and is 100% silicone-free.
Is The Elevator by Trinny London Worth It?
For me, yes. The most impressive change has been elasticity and bounce. At nearly 52, that renewed resilience makes my neck look healthier and feel stronger. It has delivered progressive, structural improvement over five weeks.
After feeling self-conscious about this area, that feels genuinely game-changing.
Final Thoughts on The Elevator by Trinny London
This is a product that actually works. After five weeks using The Elevator by Trinny London, my neck feels firmer, smoother and more elastic, and I really feel more confident about how it looks.
If you are looking for a product to address ageing concerns in your neck area, I couldn’t recommend this more.
