Today I am going to be sharing with you my new skin care routine. Since I am now in my 30′s, I have altered my skin care routine so it will help battle the aging process. As we age our skin requires different needs and I have found a good regiment that works well for my sensitive skin. These are all products that I swear by and since I am prone to acne, they are all great for all skin types.
So let’s get going on my new skin care routine! 🙂

They remove all traces of dirt, oil, mascara, and even glitter. They are made with herbal extracts, cornflower and vitamin e so they leave your skin feeling clean and soft. They are available in 6 scents and retail for $5.99 for 30 pre-moistened wipes.

Clarisonic MIA
I love these brushes. For me, because I wear a lot of makeup at times, it has the ability to get deep into my pores and cleans my skin very thoroughly. I use the sensitive head with mine so it isn’t to abrasive or to harsh on my skin. It leaves your skin softer and gives you a much more radiant and healthy glow. If you are not using one of these they are well worth the investment!
Price: $150.00 (You can find these cheaper on Amazon and eBay, just make sure what your are getting is authentic and NOT used!)
Where to Buy: Amazon, eBay, Sephora
Dermaquest Delicate Skin Cleanser
I am really not to picky about which cleanser I use, but I really am liking this one. It contains Argon Oil that helps promote healing. And because it was also formulated with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that reduce redness and calms and soothes, it’s ideal for anyone with sensitive skin like myself. It’s can also be used for anyone with normal skin as well. It cleans my skin and prepares it for the next steps.
Price: $37.00 (A little less expensive on Amazon and eBay)

Retinol Cream
I swear by this step! I do this once a day at night before bed. I get my retinol cream from my dermatologist. Retinol gets rid of dead skin so that your skin can renew itself and produce more collagen. Basically, it encourages skin cell turnover. I am now at a 0.1% however when you first begin using retinol you will begin lower. This is where I suggest you see a dermatologist to get you on a program and the right percentage of retinol. You don’t want to do more damage to your skin and this can cause your skin to peal slightly if you get a higher dose than you need. This has helped tremendously in reducing my pores and making my skin look and feel younger as well as my acne!

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
Serums go deep into the skin with other moisturizers can’t reach. I get the 1 ounce bottle to last longer and it’s a far better value. This has a fresh orange scent that feels refreshing and great on the face. The vitamin C in this is great for producing collagen and antioxidants. Place one pump in your hands and rub together then pat over your face. This will allow the serum to penetrate your skin fully. You want to do this step BEFORE doing applying your moisturizer.
Price: $48.00 (Prices are better on Amazon and eBay)

NIA 24 Skin Strengthening Moisturizer
This has Niacin in it which helps with anti aging and rejuvenating the skin along with helping anyone with acne prone skin like myself. It doesn’t break my out and hydrates my skin without leaving my face feeling greasy. It only takes a small drop to cover your face so this will last. I have been using it for a couple of years now and it is still by far the best I have used!
Price – $93.00 (Prices are better on Amazon and eBay)
Where to Buy: Amazon, eBay, Nia
Murad Renewing Eye Cream
This is the one thing that I do not use on a regular basis. As we age we tend to lose some of the moisture in our skin and this works perfectly for adding my hydration under my eyes. I also have bags under my eyes and this helps combat the appearance of bags and fine lines. It brightens and stimulates the sensitive skin around the eye and really does feel as if you are applying silk under your eyes.
Price: $75.00 (Prices are better on Amazon and eBay)

So that’s it for my anti-aging skin care routine! The most important step in all of this is the retinol. You need to be using this nightly just make sure to see your dermatologist to get the real stuff. Some of the retinal you can purchase over the counter is diluted and won’t work as well as what your doctor will give you. I hope this helps and gives you some ideas on what to incorporate into your skin care routine.
