Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask Review

If you’ve been searching for a hydrating overnight face mask that actually delivers by morning, the Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask is one to have firmly on your radar.

I first heard about this Beauty Pie overnight mask at the launch of their LED mask (which is excellent, by the way, and very well spec’d – I have a review post here). One of the team told me their favourite routine was to use the LED mask and then follow with this overnight treatment for maximum glow.

Fast forward a few months, I finally got my hands on it, and I have to say, it has completely lived up to the hype.

What is Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask?

What is Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask?

The Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask is an overnight mask designed to deeply hydrate, nourish and restore the skin while you sleep.

Its standout feature is the suspended micro-capsules, which are tiny beads dispersed through a soft pink gel. These capsules burst on contact with the skin, releasing nourishing oils that transform the texture as you massage it in.

This kind of formula is often seen in much more expensive skincare, which is why it’s quickly being talked about as a luxury skincare dupe.

Key Ingredients

Precious cherry blossom fusion – sustainably sourced in Provence, France

Omega-9 complex – Micro-Algae Triglyceride Oil containing over 90% of beneficial Omega-9 Oleic Acid

Saffron extract – natural antioxidant to help promote a youthful-looking complexion

Meadowfoam seed oil – skin-softening long-chain Fatty Acids with vitamins A and E

Shea Butter – to nourish dry and dehydrated skin

Glycerin – to hydrate and help improve the skin’s barrier function

Texture & Application

If you love a product that feels like a real sensory moment, this really delivers.

The texture is a beautiful hybrid:

  • Lightweight gel base
  • Filled with delicate oil capsules

As you apply it, the capsules break down and release a silky, slightly oily texture that feels comforting, nourishing and cocooning without heaviness.

It melts into the skin effortlessly, creating a soft, cushioned layer that feels perfect for overnight use. This is exactly what you want from an overnight mask for dehydrated skin – something that stays present without feeling sticky or suffocating.

I’ve been testing the Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask for a few weeks now, and it’s one of those products that very quickly earns a permanent place in your routine.

First Impressions

This is a really intriguing formula from the outset. The soft pink gel is filled with tiny micro-caviar beads, which immediately gives it that luxury skincare feel.

It’s the kind of product that makes you want to slow down your routine and actually enjoy the application.

Texture & Feel on Skin

The texture is honestly beautiful. As you massage the product in, the capsules burst and release a lightweight, oily nourishment that transforms the gel into something much more comforting and cocooning.

It melts into the skin effortlessly and doesn’t feel greasy, just soft and nourishing.

Overnight Performance

What I really like about this hydrating overnight face mask is that it actually behaves like a proper overnight treatment. It doesn’t just disappear after application.

If I wake up in the night, I can still feel a soft layer of product on my skin, which I personally love because it feels like it’s still working. By morning, it has completely absorbed. There’s no residue left behind, just well-hydrated, comfortable skin.

Results: Morning Glow & Hydration

This is where the Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask really delivers. By morning, my skin looks calmer, more nourished and softly radiant. It’s not an overly shiny glow, just that healthy, rested look that’s exactly what you want from an overnight mask for glowing skin.

It’s particularly good when my skin is feeling a bit depleted or dehydrated, as it really helps restore comfort overnight.

Beauty Pie vs Dior: Is This a Dupe?

Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask vs Dior
Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask vs Dior

One of the reasons this product is getting so much attention is its similarity to Dior Prestige Le Micro-Caviar de Rose* which is £418.

Similarities:

  • Micro-capsule (caviar-style) technology
  • Transformative gel-to-oil texture
  • Focus on nourishment, glow and skin comfort
  • A distinctly luxury application experience

Key Differences:

  • Dior focuses heavily on rose actives and premium anti-ageing positioning
  • Beauty Pie delivers a more accessible, hydration-focused version
  • Price point is dramatically lower with Beauty Pie

When you look at the Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask alongside the Dior Prestige Le Micro-Caviar de Rose, what’s really interesting is how similar the base of the formulas actually is. Both are built around a really comforting hydration structure with things like glycerin, propanediol, caprylic/capric triglyceride, meadowfoam seed oil, shea butter and betaine. So in terms of that soft, cocooning overnight feel that leaves skin feeling cushioned and nourished by morning, they’re actually much closer than you might expect.

Where Dior really starts to pull away is in the more targeted skincare actives and the overall complexity of the formula. You’ve got ingredients like adenosine, a vitamin C derivative (ascorbyl glucoside), rose extract and other supporting actives that are all working a bit more specifically on things like radiance, smoothing and skin renewal.

The Beauty Pie version keeps things more focused on hydration, comfort and that sensorial micro-caviar texture, without quite the same level of active skincare layering. And I do think that’s where some of the price difference comes in. Dior is very much delivering a more treatment-led, highly engineered luxury skincare experience, whereas Beauty Pie is giving you a really beautiful, effective hydration and glow formula at a much more accessible price point.

How to Use Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask

  • Apply as the final step in your evening routine
  • Massage gently to break the capsules
  • Leave on overnight

Pro tip: Use after an LED mask or active skincare routine to maximise results and wake up with glowing skin.

I actually love this over my Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6*. I apply my Retinal, leave for at least 10 minutes, and then follow without the mask before going to sleep.

FAQ: Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask

Is Beauty Pie Le Masque Micro-Caviar Overnight Moisture Mask worth it?

Yes, especially if you’re looking for a high-performance overnight mask without a luxury price tag.

Can I use this overnight mask every night?

You can, particularly if your skin is dry or dehydrated. Alternatively, use it a few times a week as a treatment.

Is this a dupe for Dior Prestige Micro-Caviar?

It’s not identical, but it offers a very similar texture, experience and result, making it a strong alternative.

Will it clog pores?

It’s nourishing but not overly heavy. If you’re oily or breakout-prone, use it a few times a week rather than nightly.

Can I use it instead of moisturiser?

Yes, this works as a treatment moisturiser or final step in your routine.

Overall Thoughts

This is one of those products that feels both effective and enjoyable to use, which is always a winning combination.

If you’re looking for a Beauty Pie overnight mask that delivers hydration, comfort and a visible glow by morning, this is a really strong option.

It’s become a go-to for nights when my skin needs a bit of extra care, and it’s one I keep reaching for.

My Review

My Review of Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50
My Review of Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50

I absolutely love Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50+. This is one of those SPFs that just makes daily application feel effortless.

The texture is gorgeous. It’s like a light emulsion, so it layers beautifully over skincare without ever feeling like you’re piling product onto your skin. It’s light, slightly liquidy, and so easy to blend.

It feels super hydrating and really refreshing on the skin. It melts in effortlessly and leaves your complexion looking almost like you’ve applied the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream or Dewy Milk – more info on those here – that kind of fresh, healthy glow, but in a much lighter, more wearable way.

What I really like is how well it sets. It sinks in nicely, doesn’t sit on the surface, and works beautifully under makeup. You get a lovely glow, but nothing too shiny or over the top. It’s also really comfortable to wear throughout the day and, importantly, it doesn’t sting my eyes at all, which is always a big tick when it comes to SPF.

The packaging is great too. It’s nice and compact, so it’s easy to throw in your handbag for top-ups. Overall, it’s just a really lovely, easy-to-use sunscreen that fits seamlessly into your routine.

What I Like

  • Beautiful lightweight, milky texture
  • Layers effortlessly over skincare
  • Hydrating and refreshing on the skin
  • Gives a soft, healthy glow
  • Sits perfectly under makeup
  • No eye stinging
  • Great handbag-friendly packaging

Who Is Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50+ Best For?

Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50+ is a great option if you:

  • Prefer lightweight, barely-there sunscreen textures
  • Want an SPF that feels like skincare
  • Have normal to dry skin and enjoy a hydrating finish
  • Love a fresh, healthy, slightly dewy glow
  • Wear makeup and need SPF that layers seamlessly underneath
  • Find traditional sunscreens too heavy or greasy

It’s less ideal if you prefer a matte finish or need strong oil control throughout the day.

Comparisons

How Does Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50+ Compare?

If you’ve read my best SPF 50 for face roundup, you’ll know there are lots of excellent formulas out there, so here’s how Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50+ fits in.

Vs Ultra Violette Fave Fluid
Ultra Violette sunscreens tend to have a slightly more “primer-like” finish, whereas Tatcha is more skincare-focused. If you love a hydrating, fresh skin finish, Tatcha feels lighter and more like an emulsion. The Ultra Violette is also super light, so it really comes down to choice. For more info on that read Ultra Violette Fave Fluid SPF 50+ Ultralight Skinscreen Review.

Vs La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVAIR SPF 50+
La Roche-Posay is always a go-to for reliable protection, and this one is another super light option. For me, Tatcha feels more like a lightweight moisturiser and is a nicer sensory experience if you prioritise texture and glow.

Vs Hydrating/SPF Hybrid Formulas
If you enjoy SPFs that double as skincare, like your more hydrating picks, Tatcha sits firmly in that category. It’s less about mattifying or oil control and more about giving that fresh, healthy, slightly dewy look.

If you’re looking for alternatives, here are some other SPF 50 formulas I’ve reviewed:

  • For something more affordable:
Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Fluid SPF50 Glow Review
  • For a similar lightweight fluid texture:
Mimétique Everyday50 Invisible Face Fluid Review
Vichy Mineral 89 72H Moisture Boosting Daily Fluid SPF50+ Review
  • For a more illuminating, glow-boosting finish:

  • For barrier-support and hydration:

  • For something more treatment-led:

Final Thoughts

Tatcha The Milky Sunscreen SPF 50+ really delivers on making SPF feel like a luxury skincare step.

If you want something lightweight, hydrating, and easy to wear every single day, this is a brilliant option. It’s one of those formulas that you’ll actually look forward to applying, which ultimately means you’re far more likely to stay consistent with your SPF.
