My Review

If you love the smudgy, pigmented smokiness of the Victoria Beckham eyeliners, I think you will really enjoy these. The packaging is a lot more basic, however, the way the formula glides on to the skin is very similar, and these pigments also really pack a punch.

The texture is super creamy and easy to apply, and a light swipe delivers instant colour payoff. I loves these in the waterline, because they are nice and long lasting, and I find a smudgy lower lash look is the easiest way to look like you have made an effort with your makeup.

Like the VB liners, the formula is on the soft and buttery side, so I’d definitely recommend them for people that like a smudgy, soft makeup look, and not so much a sharp and graphic finish.

I find doing a wing pretty tricky as I have hooded eyes and the outer corners slope down, so something a bit more casual suits me much better. These Hildun Beauty Silk to Set Kajal Liners are perfect for that kind of look.

The formula dries down and sets really well, however, owing to the creamy texture, they will move around a little bit, especially is you use an eye cream that is emollient. This is also the case with the VB formula.

One of the main differences is that the Hildun pencil don’t have the sponge smudger. But they do recommend that you use their double ended brush that has a wing end and a smoke end.

As I said, I tend not to do a wing, but I absolutely love the smudgy end of this brush for creating a smoky look.

I think the Chocolate is my favourite shade in the Hildun Beauty Silk to Set Kajal Liner collection. I can see I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of that.

hihi everyone, I hope all is well. Today we are talking about hair! Its been a while since I did a hair update so today I will be talking about the shampoo Ive been using for the last 2 months. I finally did my texture release! I will be sharing my thoughts on that soon.

I was gifted the function of beauty coily hair shampoo at their launch event maybe 2 years ago? Its been a while. Anyways I was using it intermittently until this Feb/March when it became my staple shampoo.

The shampoo is described as Our custom Shampoo for Coily Hair is formulated with Flaxseed Oil to promote a healthy scalp and nourish hair. The gentle foaming ingredients have been specifically formulated for Coily Hair and are silicone-free. I got their deep condition booster added in.

Experience

I wash my hair every 7 to 10 days a month, it works out to be 3 to 4 wash days a month. I clarify every 4 weeks therefore I use this shampoo about 3 times a month. The shampoo with the added booster suds up really well and I like that it leaves my hair feeling clean and soft but without feeling stripped. The suds are good for finger detangling but I don’t usually finger detangle with it. It smells great. The shampoo is formulated with flaxseed oil which helps to prevent breakage. The deep condition booster has apple extracts and promises to soften brittle hair.

Verdict

I haven’t used the shampoo without the booster but I’m sure it will still work great. I do really like this for my 4c hair. It’s been formulated specially for coily hair and I have no issues with it. It was a gifted product but I will buy this again without any issues. It’s a step up from Cantu and its the same price level as Keracare, Shea Moisture & AS I AM. I really like the boosters available from the brand, it makes it easier to mix in exactly what you need for the hair concerns.

Does this shampoo together with the booster live up to its claims? YES. my hair feels clean and softer after use and it has been a great addition to my healthy hair journey. I’m almost out of the bottle.

This was a gifted product however I really do like the shampoo.

My Review of Moroccanoil Purple Treatment

I first had a demo of this on dry hair in Selfridges in London when it launched, and absolutely loved it. Here’s a little video showing you that:

I have since used it a couple of times at home on damp hair after washing and really love the results.

It has a beautiful light texture, yet I only need a couple of pumps. If you have fine hair, you will most probably need less. The oil itself is bright purple, but it doesn’t stain the skin and the consistency sinks in really well and leaves the hair feeling moisturised yet light.

I have been using this as the first step on clean damp hair and find it so easy to use. I smooth it through the lengths and ends, then gently brush it through and then continue with whatever other styling products I wish to use.

The Moroccanoil Purple Treatment is incredibly effective at neutralising any brassy tones in my hair and it really leaves the blonde looking clean and bright, which is just how I love it.

The big bonus is that it really adds suppleness and shine to the hair. I have tried quite a few different purple products for blonde hair over the years, but while many of them help to remove brassiness, they don’t leave my hair feeling quite as soft and conditioned as this. I absolutely love this, and as you only need a small amount, I think that £15.45 for the 25ml bottle is very reasonable.

If you want even more enhanced results, you could pair this with a purple shampoo and conditioner, but I find it actually works really well on it own on my hair. It also smells amazing. Great!
