As soon as I heard the name Jo Malone London Beach Blossom I was extremely interested to try it. I don’t think I’ve really seen a fragrance with this kind of vibe from Jo Malone so I immediately wanted to know more. Here’s what you need to know.

This fragrance has been designed to instantly transport you to warmer climes. Think beaches (obviously), warm sun on your skin, and closing your eyes and waking up in the Seychelles (not that I’d know what that is like!).
Jo Malone London say:
Pack your bags for a summer escape. On the idyllic palm-fringed beaches of the Seychelles, encounter the rare coco de mer. Basking in tropical sunlight, the sea coconut’s sculptural form inspires the fresh solar scent of Beach Blossom Cologne.
A refreshing twist of coconut water carried on the breeze, meeting the sparkling clarity of lime and mint, wrapped in the allure of tonka bean.
Top Note: Lime – zesty freshness
Heart Note: Coconut Water – light and refreshing
Base Note: Tonka Bean – warm accents of vanilla and almond

This is a lovely beachy fragrance, and I can’t really think of anything similar in the Jo Malone London collection. It has creamy coconut with a little bit of a suntan lotion vibe which I always find really comforting.
The lime and mint give it a kind of summer cocktail feel at the start but there’s also something about it that reminds me of the Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt, although that one conjures up a completely different type of beach – more British, less tropical. Beach Blossom is all about a sun-kissed summer getaway.

The bottle is understated, and chic, but I have to say, I do really prefer the square Jo Malone bottles, as opposed to these rounded ones. But that’s just a personal preference!
At first spritz, Beach Blossom has a fresh and airy citrus brightness that’s really enlivening and uplifting. It is softly sweet, but not in an overpowering way and it is freshly floral rather than sugary.
Everything softens out to a lovely creamy, skin-like warmth that feels super comforting with those vibes of sunshine and sea salt on your skin.
This isn’t a huge fragrance, you can definitely smell it on yourself, but it isn’t overpowering at all. I found that it lasts really well on my skin. I could still smell it on my wrist about 6 hours after spritzing which I was pretty impressed with.
If you love breezy, sun-drenched florals with a touch of salty skin warmth, this one will be for you. It’s chic and feminine, and combines summer freshness with richer creamy notes that give you that cashmere hug feeling. I think this will be a real crowd pleaser.
Beach Blossom Cologne is a gorgeous summery fragrance that isn’t too heady and keeps things nice and radiant and fresh. I think this would be an easy blind buy as it ticks all the boxes for a summer scent that still has cosy vibes, and it’s limited edition so you might want to snap it up before it’s gone.

I have been loving the new launches from NYX so I was really excited to try the NYX Lip IV Hydrating Gloss Stains which really remind of the YSL Glossy Stains that I used to be addicted to back in the day. Here’s the lowdown with photos and swatches.

There are 16 shades in the full collection. I have 6 shades to show you:

Here are the swatches as a stain although having tested a couple of the shades, I find the stain to be more intense on the lips:

What makes these really great is that, not only are they a super glossy lip colour, but when the gloss has faded away, you are left with a really long lasting stain. As I said at the top, they really remind me the YSL Glossy Stain, especially the Water Pop variety which has a similar watery sensation on the lips.
As a more recent comparison, there is some similarity between the NYX Lip IV and the Rare Beauty Lip Oils. NYX has thicker, glossier, water-like consistency, but both formulas stain the lips in a very similar way. I think that the NYX formula is potentially more hydrating.
If you want to check out the Rare Beauty ones, read: Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil UK Review and Swatches.
There’s a pretty impressive shade collection and all the ones I have are super wearable, especially as a stain. I do find that the thick gloss texture can get on your teeth after you have first applied it, but I am inclined to think that this is a me problem!
Once the gloss has gone and a stain is left, I like to top up with a clear gloss or balm. I am currently obsessed with the Sephora Lift & Firm Plumping Lip Balm* which you can get 20% off of with code REALLYREESPH.
If you’re looking for a lip gloss-lip stain hybrid, I don’t really think you can go wrong with these. My favourite shades so far are 02 Hydra Honey, 07 Bubblegum Burst and 08 Drippin in Rose.
The NYX Lip IV Hydrating Gloss is £10.99 (although check links for offers) and available now via the links below:

hey hey everyone! How you doing? We are officially more than half way through March already and I cant believe it! Still next month is my birthday month so the countdown is real!
Today’s post will an update on my under eye treatment journey! If you havent checked out my previous post detailing my plans and concerns, you can check it out here
So I decided to start my journey with polynucleotide eyes. I had 3 consultations in feb with different clinics and all 3 recommended this treatment. I decided to get them had at Faded Skin as this place is based in south London and I had seen all good reviews. Tashana the owner is qualified too.
I also decided to start with 2 sessions, take a break to see any benefits at all before I did any more. I know they recommend 3 or 4 to start with but there are also suggestions that you can see results after 1 treatment. I didn’t want to go through 3-4 sessions without proof of benefits from at least 2 sessions! The issue with polynucleotides though is that it takes a few weeks before you see any results so I had already prepared myself mentally for this.
At the time of writing this post, Im actually 2 weeks post 1st session but by the time this is published I would have done my 2nd session.
TW- bloody pictures!
Prep for 1st session
The prep for the 1st session is very simple, no eye cream/ makeup 48 hours prior, but I gave myself an extra day just incase. My 1st session was on 22nd Feb. After arrival, numbing cream was applied and waited about 10 mins for it to work. I’m sorry but that numbing cream did absolutely NOTHING! NADA LOL. I would say my pain tolerance level is medium maybe a 5.5/10 but I found this painful! I would rate this a 7.9/10 personally but the treatment is done in about 10-15 mins so at least it was quick!
Post treatment
The tiny bumps and swelling started to reduce and after 2 hours by at least 85% . I didn’t feel any stinging and I didn’t have any reaction afterwards. Aftercare is pretty simple, I didn’t touch/let water around my eye area for 24 hours because of the open wounds. Didn’t sleep on my face or wear any makeup/ eye cream. By day 3 though I was able to go back to my usual routine. I did have some bruising on one eye, this was still present by day 10 but since then it fully healed.
Ive been taking progress pictures and looking at my eye area now I really dont see much of a difference! Im writing this post after 2 weeks of my 1st treatment but I’m aware that polynucleotides do take a while before you see results, some people see results right away but others have to wait weeks. By the time this post goes up, I would have had my 2nd treatment. I’m looking forward to that and I will come up with an update after that too.
I have worn makeup since my treatment and whilst my under eye area looked much better, I don’t know if its all down to the treatment because I also used the Bobbi Brown under eye primer for the 1st time (I LOVE the face base). I’m looking forward to my next treatment and hopefully I start to see some results
You can read up on polynucleotides for more info on the exact treatment if you’re interest. This treatment isn’t new on the scene, its been around for some time.
take care of yourself
catch you laterrr
