How to use it

“Pinpoint Concealing is all about precise camouflage – so that the skin in-between can be less heavily made up and the skin overall still looks natural .. It’s a trick I’ve used time and time again.”

Scribble softly over, on and around the small area you wish to micro camouflage, and then blend, using fingertips (or a small brush – the REESON No. 2 is perfect) to buff the coverage over the area and make sure the edges of the concealer are not visible.

As a self-proclaimed concealer junkie, I just had to get my hands on this new launch. Lisa’s expertise and luxurious approach to makeup are always on my radar, so I really wanted to know if this little pencil is the holy grail we’ve been waiting for.

Packaging and First Impressions:

As with all of Lisa’s products, the Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil exudes luxury. It’s sleek, slim, and the fine tip makes it incredibly precise. The pencil is easy to handle, and you really feel like you’re getting a premium product. It’s a perfect size for on-the-go use too, which makes it ideal for quick touch-ups throughout the day.

The Formula:

The texture of this concealer pencil is great. It has a creamy yet lightweight formula that glides on without tugging. It feels very comfortable on the skin, to the point where I forget I have applied it. It has great coverage and it’s buildable, so you can adjust it depending on how much coverage you need.

It comes in a variety of shades, so there’s definitely a match for most skin tones. I chose Shade 3, which I think looks the most imperceptible on my skin.

For me, what really stands out is its ability to blend seamlessly into the skin. It doesn’t settle into fine lines or cause dryness, which makes it an excellent choice for both blemishes and under-eye areas.

Precision:

The standout feature of this concealer is undoubtedly the micro tip. It’s incredibly fine, which allows for precise application to target small areas such as blemishes, redness, and dark spots. This makes it ideal for creating a more flawless finish without having to blanket-apply product, and build up unnecessary layers.

I’ve used it under my eyes, on any areas of redness and on my pigmentation, and I find that it allows me to subtly correct my complexion without looking like I am wearing any makeup at all. I find it more effective on redness than on my dark spots, but I can build it up on the pigmentation to get a better result.

If you like the look of natural skin texture, but just want to take down any more noticeable imperfections, this will be the product for you.

Application:

The micro-point of the pencil is key here. It’s precise—like, ridiculously precise—and that makes it absolutely perfect for targeting tiny imperfections, blemishes, and even the tricky corners of your nose or under-eye area. If you’re looking for pinpoint accuracy to cover imperfections, this is a game changer.

For under eyes it’s great because you can hit right where any darkness is, and softly blend it out, which means you create the illusion of brighter, awake eyes without the look of makeup.

Longevity:

As expected with Lisa Eldridge’s formulas, the performance here is impressive. Once applied, the concealer stays put and doesn’t crease or fade. It just stays where you put it, which is exactly what you want from a product designed for precision.

Value:

At £27 for 0.04g of product, this isn’t the most affordable concealer, but it’s a solid investment for those who value high-performance, precision products. It isn’t ideal for larger areas, but that’s kind of the point of it. It’s about subtle correction rather than blanket covering.

Final thoughts:

If you’re on the hunt for a concealer pencil that’s precise, blendable, and perfect for pinpointing blemishes and imperfections, Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil is a must-try. It’s versatile, buildable, and long-lasting.

My Review

The Ordinary Serum Foundation Review
The Ordinary Serum Foundation Review

I haven’t used The Ordinary Serum Foundation in years, but it is a nice light and dewy foundation that is well suited to drier skin types.

I really liked the finish of this foundation. It gives a decent coverage considering how light the texture is and it gives the skin a lovely, juicy look.

It’s great for dry skin, although you may want to set it with powder if you have combination or oily skin. This foundation is so affordable. I think it was £5.70 when it first launched, and the relaunch price is £6.40, so it has barely gone up since it launched. You can always trust The Ordinary and Deciem for fair pricing.

If you’re interested in checking out a newer foundation launch, I have been loving the one from Anastasia. For more information on that, read: Anastasia Beverly Hills Impeccable Blurring Second Skin Matte Foundation Review & Swatches.

When is The Ordinary Serum Foundation available in 2025?

There will be a limited drop on 21st February 2025. It will be available for £6.40 via the link below:

Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax Review

Any time I get some Sephora Collection beauty products to test, I always get the old days excitement of trips into store on rare visits to New York. I have been testing out the Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax and love it, so wanted to share it with you. Here’s what you need to know.

What’s the best way to use Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax?

Sephora suggests that you start at the head of the eyebrow and finish with the tip, brushing upwards through the hairs. You can repeat until you achieve the desired laminated look.

For extra volume, first brush the eyebrows in the opposite direction to hair growth, then brush the hairs upwards. You can keep adding more formula to the brush as you go.

Before and After Photos

My brows are kind of wild at the moment, and I haven’t had a professional (or a pair of tweezers) near them in many many months, so bear this in mind. But here’s the before:

And here they are with the Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax applied:

My Review of Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax

Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax spoolie
Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax spoolie

So, just for context, I am really on and off with my brows. When I pay attention to them, I think it makes a real difference to my overall makeup look, but then I will suddenly forget to do anything about them for days. I then almost rediscover the joy of having groomed brows all over again the next time I remember to bother! It’s a backwards and forwards journey!

However, if you’re obsessed with getting those perfect, fluffy brows that look effortlessly groomed yet full of volume, then you’re probably always on the hunt for the next big brow product. And I think that the Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax is definitely one to consider.

Packaging & Formula

In terms of first impressions, the packaging is what you’d expect for a brow gel. It is sleek, compact, and travel-friendly, which is always good. It comes with a slim, tapered spoolie that makes application super easy. The formula itself is clear, lightweight, and non-sticky yet has grip, which is key for a natural yet structured brow look.

Application & Wear

I applied the Fluff & Fix Brow Wax to my bare brows first, brushing upwards to get that lifted, feathered effect. It is pretty weightless in feel and the brow hairs feel flexible – no crunchiness or stiffness. I found that this gel holds the shape very well. The finish is very natural looking – not too matte and it allows the natural shine of the brow hairs to show through.

Who is this for?

If you love the laminated brow look but don’t want the hassle (or expense) of a salon treatment, this is a great alternative. It works best for those with medium to full brows, as it enhances what you already have. If your brows are super sparse, you might want to pair it with a pencil or pomade for a fuller effect.

Final Thoughts

For £13.99, the Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax is a solid option for natural, fluffy brows with a flexible hold. If you’re looking for an easy-to-use, budget-friendly way to get that effortless brow look, this one’s definitely worth a try!

REESON No.2 Brush Review

I just added a new brush to my REESON Beauty collection and I wanted to shout about it! Here’s what you need to know about the REESON No.2 Brush.

What is the REESON No.2 Brush?

I started working on this new brush because I really wanted something to apply and blend my REESON Lid Elixir which is an everyday go-to. If you haven’t tried it yet, you must! My eyelids have never been in such good shape! However, this brush can be used for most of micro- application and blending jobs across all makeup formats/

REESON No. 2 features:

  • Go-to tool for seamless application and effortless blending
  • Small, fluffy brush
  • Luxurious yet functional
  • Perfect for applying the REESON Lid Elixir*
  • Blends powder eyeshadow
  • Blends and smooths out concealer
  • Ideal for micro-applying setting powder
  • Vegan and cruelty free

How to use it

You can use this brush in lots of different ways. If you are using it for Lid Elixir, squeeze out a small amount of product onto the back of your hand, and then dip the tip of the brush into the product and then gently smooth and blend it over the lid. Wipe off excess product from the brush on to the back of the hand before using it to blend out the edges.

The brush can also be used to blend out powders. I particularly love it for micro-applying powder which I find is so much better than blanket powdering. You can gently take down shine in certain areas, and leave the glow in all the right places.

My Review

REESON No.2 Brush
REESON No.2 Brush

This new brush has quickly become an essential part of my daily makeup routine.

REESON No.2 is perfectly dense but still fluffy enough to give you a diffused, airbrushed finish. It picks up the perfect amount of product, which is something that’s so important. We’ve all had that experience where we go in with a brush and it picks up way too much product, and everything starts to go wrong. The bristles are designed to give you that perfect “just-right” application, and it blends so beautifully.

Whether you’re working with powder, cream, or liquid, this brush works its magic on all formulas. My powders go on seamlessly, and creamy products like concealers blend in like second skin.

Versatility

A great brush has to be versatile, right? And this one definitely is. It’s not just great for Lid Elixir, I’ve been using it for highlighter and setting powder pretty much every day as well. The size and shape are perfect for applying those products precisely where you want them without overdoing it. The soft bristles never feel scratchy, so there’s no irritation, even if you have sensitive skin.

Longevity:

I’ve put the REESON No.2 brush to the test when it comes to washing and it cleans up beautifully. The bristles don’t shed, and the brush itself doesn’t lose its shape. It’s one of those brushes that just keeps on looking good.

If you are looking for a bigger multi-tasking brush, make sure you also check out the REESON No. 1 brush. The large end is perfect for applying and blending foundation, skin tint, the REESON Bronzing Balm (which is our best-seller and has already achieved cult status) and the small end is brilliant for contouring, applying, blending concealer and much much more. I use mine every single day and it gives me the most flawless finish. It is genuinely the best complexion brush I own.

Where to buy it

The REESON No. 2 Brush is available now for £19 via the link below:

How to use it

Dot it or swipe it on using the applicator to any areas of the face that you want to create shadow (hollows of your cheeks, nose, forehead, jawline, and chin).

I would recommend dotting as it is better to build up the product rather than applying more than you need. You can then use a fluffy brush or makeup sponge to blend it out.

My Review

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour doe-foot applicator
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour doe-foot applicator

I think this product is going to go down really well and it is already selling fast! The texture is smooth and silky and slighter sheerer than the Rare Beauty blushes that are so pigmented that you have to be very careful not to over-apply.

The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour also has more play time than the blush formula, so you don’t have to be in a mad rush to blend it out. Once dried down though, the colour is very long lasting and doesn’t budge, smudge or move.

I think it is best to apply a small amount and blend, and then build it up in layers if you require a more intense effect. It is easy to add more, but very hard to take it away.

In terms of shades, I think I can use both Gentle and Mellow. I am still deciding which one looks better out of the two. I’ll keep you updated on that!
