Which Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal goes with which Eye Wardrobe palette?

My Review of Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe

Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe in Victoria
Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe in Victoria

If there’s one thing Victoria Beckham knows, it’s how to do effortless chic and she has truly mastered the smoky eye. This beauty brand has been turning heads with its ultra-luxe formulas, and when it comes to eye makeup, she’s not playing around. The Satin Kajals are the best sellers by a mile but I can see these new compacts doing very well indeed.

Each palette includes four buttery-soft shadows housed in a super sleek, weighty compact that screams luxury. They use very similar components to the Smoky Eye Bricks that the brand launched with, which have now been discontinued, however, they are deeper and a but chunkier. See those in Victoria Beckham Beauty Review & Swatches – Original Launch Collection.

What I love is that the colour stories are curated for easy, everyday wear, think polished, neutral, and effortlessly chic rather than bold, in your face pigment. And what’s really cool is that you can use each shade wet, if you do want to pack a bit more of a punch.

Each palette contains matte, satin and metallic finishes, so they are super versatile and you can create a whole range of looks. The mattes are super soft and easy to blend, and the satin and metallic shades give a beautiful shine without looking chunky or glittery.

Packaging

Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe packaging
Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe packaging

First things first—let’s talk packaging. The compacts are stunning. They use similar packaging as the original Smoky Eye Brick, however the Eye Wardrobe palettes are deeper and have separate pans rather than one pan of blended shades. I did actually love how the original eyeshadow palettes were blended, but I guess this is more practical.

If you have never held one of these palettes, I should explain that they feel super special. They are slim and fine, yet they feel weighty in the hand. They really are quite unique. They would fit in your back pocket undetectably and just ooze sophistication. Love them.

It is probably worth noting that you don’t get loads of product for the £71 price tag, but then the VB brand is not for anyone who isn’t looking to splash a bit of cash on their makeup! The refills are £47, so a bit more affordable.

Formula & Texture

The key difference between these new palettes and the old Smoky Eye Brick formulations is that the Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe formula is talc-free.

The textures are delightful – super velvety and blendable and the shades glide on effortlessly. The colours are buildable so you can really tailor the result to how you are feeling, and this means it’s pretty hard to go wrong with these shades.

At the launch event, I had the Olive Palette applied over my REESON Lid Elixir and it layered up beautifully. The shimmers are sophisticated, not glittery, making the palette perfect for mature eyes that love a bit of soft glam.

Wear Test – How Long Do They Last?

I had the Olive palette applied to be at 10am in the morning. I got home at 8.30pm and it was still looking really good. I was super impressed. The formula showed no signs of creasing or settling into any lines, and the colours stayed looking vibrant and sheeny. I did have my Lid Elixir but I wear that every day, and although it does help with longevity, I was still very impressed at how this wore.

Final Thoughts – Are they worth the price tag?

At £71, they are obviously pretty pricey, but if you are a fan of the brand, you will be used to that. The Victoria Beckham Beauty Eye Wardrobe palettes are the definition of quiet luxury. They each have beautifully curated shades, silky textures, effortless blendability and if you can afford one, then I am am pretty sure you will not have any buyer’s remorse.

My Review

Clinique Even Better Clinical Vitamin Makeup SPF 50 Review
Clinique Even Better Clinical Vitamin Makeup SPF 50 Review

For me, this is a really great no makeup, weekend, working from home-type foundation. It is light and sheer and feels like skincare, and gives the skin a lovely glow.

It is really easy to wear and apply, and if you like something glowy that gives sheer coverage that you can build a bit, you will really like it. In feel and finish, it kind of reminds me of one of my all time favourite foundations, NARS Light Reflecting but with a bit less coverage and longwear, and with SPF 50 instead (full review with swatches here).

If I am out for a whole day, and possibly night, I don’t think I would reach for this as it isn’t a long-wear formula for me, in spite of its claims on being waterproof and humidity resistant. In this instance, the one I am currently choosing is the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Impeccable foundation, which I surprisingly love despite it being matte. I find that I can get a nice radiant finish with that if I skip powder, and it’s pretty budge-proof. Another good option for long lasting performance is Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation Review – New Formula 2024.

I think the is Clinique foundation is good value for money, especially if you buy it at Sephora and use my REALLYREESPH code for 15% off.

What is the shade range like?

Clinique has released this foundation in 26 flexible shades. They don’t correlate with any other shades in the Clinique collection, so it’s probably best to check out Clinique’s shade guide here.

I have shades Light Cool 3 and Light Medium Cool 1 and can wear both, but prefer the former.

What skin type is it good for?

This foundation has been designed to suit dry, combination and oily skins, although I would say that it is particularly suited to drier skin types.

If think if you have any oil, you will need to set with powder, and do touch ups during the day.

Do you need to powder it?

I tend to skip powder and I think this foundation is lovely without it. However, if I was looking for longer wear, I’d look to set it with powder and perhaps also use a finishing mist. Dry skins will love this without powder I think.

Is it easy to apply?

This is a really easy foundation to apply. It goes on in lovely light and sheer layers, and feels like skincare. I use my REESON No. 1 brush with it and it blends out flawlessly.

What is the coverage like?

The coverage is sheer and light, and very skin flattering. It is described as sheer and buildable and I find it is perfect for a really natural juicy skin look.

What is the finish like?

This foundation gives the skin a lovely natural looking radiance. It makes skin look healthy, hydrated and comfortable.

How to use it

“Pinpoint Concealing is all about precise camouflage – so that the skin in-between can be less heavily made up and the skin overall still looks natural .. It’s a trick I’ve used time and time again.”

Scribble softly over, on and around the small area you wish to micro camouflage, and then blend, using fingertips (or a small brush – the REESON No. 2 is perfect) to buff the coverage over the area and make sure the edges of the concealer are not visible.

As a self-proclaimed concealer junkie, I just had to get my hands on this new launch. Lisa’s expertise and luxurious approach to makeup are always on my radar, so I really wanted to know if this little pencil is the holy grail we’ve been waiting for.

Packaging and First Impressions:

As with all of Lisa’s products, the Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil exudes luxury. It’s sleek, slim, and the fine tip makes it incredibly precise. The pencil is easy to handle, and you really feel like you’re getting a premium product. It’s a perfect size for on-the-go use too, which makes it ideal for quick touch-ups throughout the day.

The Formula:

The texture of this concealer pencil is great. It has a creamy yet lightweight formula that glides on without tugging. It feels very comfortable on the skin, to the point where I forget I have applied it. It has great coverage and it’s buildable, so you can adjust it depending on how much coverage you need.

It comes in a variety of shades, so there’s definitely a match for most skin tones. I chose Shade 3, which I think looks the most imperceptible on my skin.

For me, what really stands out is its ability to blend seamlessly into the skin. It doesn’t settle into fine lines or cause dryness, which makes it an excellent choice for both blemishes and under-eye areas.

Precision:

The standout feature of this concealer is undoubtedly the micro tip. It’s incredibly fine, which allows for precise application to target small areas such as blemishes, redness, and dark spots. This makes it ideal for creating a more flawless finish without having to blanket-apply product, and build up unnecessary layers.

I’ve used it under my eyes, on any areas of redness and on my pigmentation, and I find that it allows me to subtly correct my complexion without looking like I am wearing any makeup at all. I find it more effective on redness than on my dark spots, but I can build it up on the pigmentation to get a better result.

If you like the look of natural skin texture, but just want to take down any more noticeable imperfections, this will be the product for you.

Application:

The micro-point of the pencil is key here. It’s precise—like, ridiculously precise—and that makes it absolutely perfect for targeting tiny imperfections, blemishes, and even the tricky corners of your nose or under-eye area. If you’re looking for pinpoint accuracy to cover imperfections, this is a game changer.

For under eyes it’s great because you can hit right where any darkness is, and softly blend it out, which means you create the illusion of brighter, awake eyes without the look of makeup.

Longevity:

As expected with Lisa Eldridge’s formulas, the performance here is impressive. Once applied, the concealer stays put and doesn’t crease or fade. It just stays where you put it, which is exactly what you want from a product designed for precision.

Value:

At £27 for 0.04g of product, this isn’t the most affordable concealer, but it’s a solid investment for those who value high-performance, precision products. It isn’t ideal for larger areas, but that’s kind of the point of it. It’s about subtle correction rather than blanket covering.

Final thoughts:

If you’re on the hunt for a concealer pencil that’s precise, blendable, and perfect for pinpointing blemishes and imperfections, Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil is a must-try. It’s versatile, buildable, and long-lasting.

My Review

The Ordinary Serum Foundation Review
The Ordinary Serum Foundation Review

I haven’t used The Ordinary Serum Foundation in years, but it is a nice light and dewy foundation that is well suited to drier skin types.

I really liked the finish of this foundation. It gives a decent coverage considering how light the texture is and it gives the skin a lovely, juicy look.

It’s great for dry skin, although you may want to set it with powder if you have combination or oily skin. This foundation is so affordable. I think it was £5.70 when it first launched, and the relaunch price is £6.40, so it has barely gone up since it launched. You can always trust The Ordinary and Deciem for fair pricing.

If you’re interested in checking out a newer foundation launch, I have been loving the one from Anastasia. For more information on that, read: Anastasia Beverly Hills Impeccable Blurring Second Skin Matte Foundation Review & Swatches.

When is The Ordinary Serum Foundation available in 2025?

There will be a limited drop on 21st February 2025. It will be available for £6.40 via the link below:

What’s the best way to use Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax?

Sephora suggests that you start at the head of the eyebrow and finish with the tip, brushing upwards through the hairs. You can repeat until you achieve the desired laminated look.

For extra volume, first brush the eyebrows in the opposite direction to hair growth, then brush the hairs upwards. You can keep adding more formula to the brush as you go.

Before and After Photos

My brows are kind of wild at the moment, and I haven’t had a professional (or a pair of tweezers) near them in many many months, so bear this in mind. But here’s the before:

Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax - Before

And here they are with the Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax applied:

My Review of Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax

Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax spoolie
Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax spoolie

So, just for context, I am really on and off with my brows. When I pay attention to them, I think it makes a real difference to my overall makeup look, but then I will suddenly forget to do anything about them for days. I then almost rediscover the joy of having groomed brows all over again the next time I remember to bother! It’s a backwards and forwards journey!

However, if you’re obsessed with getting those perfect, fluffy brows that look effortlessly groomed yet full of volume, then you’re probably always on the hunt for the next big brow product. And I think that the Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax is definitely one to consider.

Packaging & Formula

In terms of first impressions, the packaging is what you’d expect for a brow gel. It is sleek, compact, and travel-friendly, which is always good. It comes with a slim, tapered spoolie that makes application super easy. The formula itself is clear, lightweight, and non-sticky yet has grip, which is key for a natural yet structured brow look.

Application & Wear

I applied the Fluff & Fix Brow Wax to my bare brows first, brushing upwards to get that lifted, feathered effect. It is pretty weightless in feel and the brow hairs feel flexible – no crunchiness or stiffness. I found that this gel holds the shape very well. The finish is very natural looking – not too matte and it allows the natural shine of the brow hairs to show through.

Who is this for?

If you love the laminated brow look but don’t want the hassle (or expense) of a salon treatment, this is a great alternative. It works best for those with medium to full brows, as it enhances what you already have. If your brows are super sparse, you might want to pair it with a pencil or pomade for a fuller effect.

Final Thoughts

For £13.99, the Sephora Collection Fluff & Fix Brow Wax is a solid option for natural, fluffy brows with a flexible hold. If you’re looking for an easy-to-use, budget-friendly way to get that effortless brow look, this one’s definitely worth a try!

If you’re still on the hunt for an affordable brow gel for a laminated effect, read: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Brow Lamination Review.
