Hi Makeup Geeks!
I know there’s many days when you’re rushing out the door for work, but still want to look polished and have at least a little makeup on. Winged liner has been trendy for a few years now, so I wanted to give you a trick for doing it in 1 minute. That’s right, just one minute! Nobody wants to skip their trip to Starbucks to do a 10 minute makeup look when you can do it quicker AND have your coffee 😉
Products Needed:
- Black or Brown Gel Liner – Makeup Geek Gel Liner in “Immortal” or “Mobster” (Makeup Geek Store)
- Bent Eyeliner Brush (Makeup Geek Store)
- Scotch Tape
Simply place the scotch tape along the outer part of your eye- use your lower lash line as a guideline. Take your bent liner brush or any super small makeup brush and apply the eyeliner along the tape, connecting it to your upper lash line. You want to fill it in to form a triangle shape- this is what gives the illusion of winged liner.
If you have an extra minute, you can turn your winged liner into a softly smudged cat eye that works great for daytime. All you need are 2 more products:
- Dark Brown Eyeshadow – Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in “Bada Bing” (Makeup Geek Store)
- Pencil Smudge or Eye Smudging Brush (Makeup Geek Store)
Take a pencil brush and smudge a dark brown eyeshadow (or any color for that matter) on top of your gel liner. Start to smudge it upwards to smoke out the liner, staying close to your lash line as well as the tape you placed on earlier. All you’re doing is turning the winged liner into a smudged out cat eye shape by “smoking out” the eyeshadow.
I hope this helps you all in your makeup looks when you’re in a hurry! Makeup doesn’t have to take a long time- it’s all about the technique and tools.
