My Review of Violette FR Bisou Jelly

Violette FR Bisou Jelly Sheer Lip Shine Review
Violette FR Bisou Jelly Sheer Lip Shine Review

I love an easy to use, shiny sheer lip and this one really ticks all the boxes. It’s lovely! In terms of ease, these are the kind of products you can grab from your handbag and swipe on a top up without needing a mirror, and it really doesn’t get any easier than that!

Violette FR Bisou Jelly Sheer Lip Shine - colour core with jelly outer layer

Also the Violette FR Bisou Jelly is a lovely sturdy product. When you first look at them, they look like you might have to apply really gently in case the bullet collapses and you apply more than you need. However, the formula has a lovely firmness and you can apply boldly without any fear of making a mess. It really holds its own.

It terms of texture, it feels nice and moisturising, so you could easily reach for one of these instead if your regular lip balm. And because it’s a sheer and naturally flattering kind of finish, it looks great even without any other makeup.

Violette FR Bisou Jelly Sheer Lip Shine - shade Bonbon à la Rose
Violette FR Bisou Jelly Sheer Lip Shine – shade Bonbon à la Rose

The selection of shades is really pretty. I love them all. They all offer a soft hint of colour that can be subtly intensified with Pomme d’Amour being the most ‘poppy’ shade.

They are all so wearable, however, I think that Aïssa is possibly my favourite, and I don’t think I am alone as this is the shade that is currently sold out. If you love a nude tone, Bonbon Caramel will be right up your street. It’s like a lovely sheer 90s nude and would look stunning with a lip liner if you wanted a more ‘makeup-y’ look.

My Review

Sweed Lydia Millen Le Lipstick in Holly Hock
Sweed Lydia Millen Le Lipstick in Holly Hock

This is a really lovely lip collection and it’s perfect for Summer, not only because the shades are so fresh and easy to wear, but they are also super long lasting.

In fact, the lip liners are so long lasting that I will have to do the lip swatches in another session because once they are on, they are pretty hard to get off! The arm swatches I did needed a full on double cleanse!!

I have really gotten in to using lip liners over the past year, so I am very excited to incorporate these into my rotation because the shades are so gorgeous and the performance is seriously impressive. If you are serious about your lip game, you need one!!

As for Le Lipstick, these will be brilliant for everyone, and are a great ‘chuck in your handbag’ product for a soft boost of colour and hydration on the go.

I love the Holly Hock shade, not only because it’s super youthful and really brightening, but because my childhood garden was filled with Holly Hocks and it brings back such good memories.

Holly Hock looks really bright in the tube, but it’s very versatile and can be a very soft brightening wash of colour, or built up to something a little more bold. Regardless of the intensity you choose, both shades are super long lasting, yet weightless, so you will forget you are wearing them until you look in the mirror. Fabulous!

My Review of Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balm

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balm Review- Fleur
Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balm Review – Fleur

As you will probably be able to see, these are really easy to wear, super sheer lip shines. No mirror required!!

I am absolutely obsessed with the packaging. I love the sleek ivory cases, and the fact that the logo on each tube reflects the tint really makes me happy!! I love little touches like that. They go beautifully with the new FeatherFix Brow Gels. To see those read: Victoria Beckham Beauty FeatherFix Brow Gel Review & Swatches.

They feel really satisfying to hold, and have a really nice clicky, twist up delivery system which allows you to access a small amount of product to make application effortless. However, you can’t click back so make sure you don’t twist out too much in one go.

The formula of the Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balm is lovely. It’s nice and firm, so there’s no fear of the bullet collapsing or ending up with too much product on your lips.

You can swipe on with a strong hand, and repeat in several layers if you wish to build up the colour. The payoff is very sheer, so you never need to worry about the colour looking too strong. These are the perfect product if you are a little lipstick-shy, but you love a soft and shiny finish.

They actually remind me quite a lot of another favourite of mine, the Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint, but much more glam and maybe a tad shinier.

The Posh Balms feel great on the lips and really do deliver lovely long lasting hydration. They are the perfect lip product to throw in your handbag, and then show off in public as you reapply!!

All the shades are pretty similar. The clear shade, Glace, will be great paired with a lip liner, and the others give a soft flush which looks super healthy. I think I like Fleur the most, but as you will see from the lip swatches, the differences between the shade is subtle. I love how juicy and volumised they make the lips look. Fab!

When does Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Balm launch?

The new lip balms are set to launch on 7th August for £30. You will be able to shop via the link below:

My Review

Clarins Lip Oil Balm Review
Clarins Lip Oil Balm Review

These balms have a really beautiful texture. They melt on to the lips as soon as you swipe the bullet across the skin and feel instantly soothing and softening.

The formula delivers lovely long lasting hydration and keeps my lips feeling really comfortable and soft for a good few hours. I also love the shade selection and the colour offers a subtle and youth-boosting tint to your natural lip colour.

They are perfect for reapplying without having to put in any effort as you don’t need a mirror and they give an easy to wear natural look. I think my favourite shade is 03 Lychee.

My Review of Lisa Eldridge Baume Embrace Melting Lip Colour

Lisa Eldridge Baume Embrace in Meet Cute
Lisa Eldridge Baume Embrace in Meet Cute

I absolutely love that this is such a neat collection of shades. They are such pretty nudes, along with a really pretty pop of red and a soft berry. I am actually finding it hard to choose which one is my favourite. It is between Epanoui and Meet Cute – I think it’s going to be down to whether I want something more pinky or something more peachy, but they are both perfect nudes.

They are really easy to apply and feel great as they go on with a gorgeous melting texture. I think you could potentially apply without a mirror which will be great for on the go.

The texture of these actually really reminds me of one of my favourite lip products from Sisley. If you want to check those out, read Sisley Phyto-Rouge Shine Refillable Lipstick Review & Swatches.

I love the glossy finish and super moisturising feel on the lips. You can build up the colour in layers, but because it’s a really sheer product, it’s pretty impossible to go wrong and you can wear a little or a lot depending how much moisture you feel you need.

If you want a slightly more defined look, these will go beautifully with the Lisa Eldridge lip liners I reviewed recently. If you want to see all those shades, read: Lisa Eldridge Sculpt and Shade Lip Pencil Review & Swatches.

Another brilliant launch from Team Eldridge. Very impressed indeed.

If you are looking for a glossy, sheer, nourishing lip colour that’s a bit more affordable, I highly recommend the ones from Naturium. If you are interested in seeing those, check out: Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm Review & Swatches.
